I'm pleased to say that the replacement VX2 passthrough is working flawlessly and producing plenty of tasty vapor. I run it off one of the front USB ports on my PC and I love it!

As for the DSE601, It has been awesome up until today when I started vaping on it. The draw requirement has doubled (must vape with the jewel cap OFF to get good hits) and the vapor production is perhaps about half as usual at best. I tried both batteries with the very same results. One was at about 75-80% charge, other at 100% full (12HR charge as recommended-per-manual for first 3 charges). I wish this were designed with an easily replaceable ATTY, just like my VX2's. It would be the perfect high output PV device!

I'm seriously considering the possibility of using the "RETREIVAL OPERATION MODE" as described in the manual on page 07......however according to the manual; I should not need to use this atty cleaning method for at least 20-30 days of usage. I have been vaping fairly heavily on it in the evening and I always leave it stored/resting in a position that puts the mouthpiece at a much lower point of gravity; in a draining position that would prevent the lower bowl from getting clogged. Also, I have not been overfilling the cart or dripping at all. To summarize, I've been treating it very nicely and it is suddenly refusing to reciprocate.

honestly it sounds flooded. and i think u email me this same thing. i replied to your email also.

I thought the very same thing and I've attempted to clear it, but there are a very limited number of remedial methods in this case Shawn. It's not like I can just disassemble this device without damaging it. Figuratively, I'm stuck in the mud and can't engage the transfer case. I'm wide open to suggestions, so anyone with similar DSE601 experience should feel free to chime in at any time....

Sorry about the repeat messaging Shawn, I was initially very frustrated with this issue.... I've cooled my afterburners and I'm just thinking about it logically now.

I'll be following the suggestions in your reply to my message on your website. Seems like a very logical course of action 2 me.

take out the cart, the battery and leave the cap and mouthpiece off. blow through the battery compartment. the prop it up so the end where the cart goes in is facing down let it drain like that overnight on a papertowel. the next day take and put the battery in use the recovery procedure 2 times for 3-5 seconds each to burn off the rest of the liquid. now u can drop 2 drops of liquid on the atomizer, put the mouthpiece on and put the led cap back on. only need the led cap slightly finger tight. in a few puffs it should start going again.

I did all that was suggested by Shawn. Airflow has improved, but vapor production is not nearly what it was. It could take some vaping for the atty to come back to full strength. Also, perhaps I should drain it again tonight.....but leave the pipe in a much warmer room that is not so well air conditioned. I would have to asssume that it is a good idea to store this (and all) epipes in an upright position whenever it is not in use, since they are prone to clogging. I am therefore using a little glass (wide-mouthed) bottle to set the pipe in WHENEVER it is not in actual use.
