I'd definitely go the route of the tobacco shop sampler..though if you're going the route of HV I might rethink that premium thing (from what I heard some of the premiums don't fit or work on some of the adapters, and the resistance on the premium cartos is lower so they burn hotter (close to a standard 510))...
I've tried the sampler (though not on HV..which would definitely change the taste) ..I didn't like any of the tobacco at all (actually almost all of their prefilled flavors I've tried have this underlying chemical, perfumey taste I just cant get past)...though for me their camel was the best of the lot..
now if you like menthol... their smilin' special menthol is just freaking awesome...kinda tastes like an andes mint punched ya in the throat..
But tastes are subjective you know...for my tobacco flavor I actually use nhaler's drewbacco1 and put that into blank cartos (and theres a huge difference in it's taste between cartos and on a 510 (it really is night and day)...
hmm..I got a bunch of 18mg (12mg HV and 24mg mixed 1 to 1) of it right now...if you're nice and want to try it shoot me a PM with an addy and I'll send ya 5ml to try..

My info will probably be totally useless for you but it will aid in MM's effort to up the post count.
I don't know diddly about the cartomizers but I know the nonmenthol bacco flavors were the last thing I ever thought I'd be vaping. I am so hooked on the Harley 56 from Halo.
Down to my last dropperful and he's been out of stock with everything over 6mg forever.
Post how those cartomizers things are and if you end up refilling etc. I might give them a try down the road.
I just ordered my two chucks today and blew just as much on some juice. The psser is that I just realized I could have bought my rock rails with what I spent.
No more PV toys or accessories for me for a while.

I tried the Dunhall from the premium tobacco sampler. Don't like it. It and the 555 just remind me of old socks. Yuck. I "kant" get the Kant or Hilton to fit on my carto adapter. It seems the threads are off or something. What the hell? One of the blanks they sent me is like that too. Anyone else get cartos that don't screw all the way to adapters?
Get blank cartomizers, they are SUPER easy to fill and refill.

Oh yeah, I'm a big fat hairy fan of cart refilling... my laziness demands it.
Well, got my order today damn they were fast.
Gotta disagree with Droidz on this one, but like he said, taste is subjective... I once at twinkies with EZCheese on them if thats any indicator of my tastes (not to say I liked it, but it seemed like a good idea at the time if you get my drift).
Although I didn't like everything in the tobacco samplers, I didn't hate any of them. They all tasted very fresh and clean. Do gotta say I liked the Cowboy and the Parliament a lot. The Camel was kinda flat. Very very happy over all though, they don't have that musty "been in the closet too long" taste to me.
But again, others have said it tasted that way to them. Who knows... humans are strange creatures... especially Mike.
I agree with whomever said they were hooked on that Harley from Halo tho. I've actually got a bottle of that and it is bombad (thats jar-jar speak for good +200 geek points for me) stuff. Its just very intense and something I use for party time vaping. Through the day I like something a bit more mellow.
Guess I'll work my way through these packs and see what I endup ordering. Nice to have blanks that are color coded though... pretty much threw out my black ones since I never new what was in them... sometimes good... sometimes bad... sometimes "What the hell am I vaping?"
I know these kudos should probably go in the V4L thread... but I vape these on my Chucks. Not sure why... but it makes a difference... and this is where ma posse rolls...

Hmm I might have to give em another shot...I tried em back in dec and they were all musty and perfumy to me...might have been changed since..could also make the world of difference at 6V vs 3.7V...
or it could be the subjective taste thing..

Ya never know, I guess. Was vaping the Hilton, and liked it at first, then it started to wear thin for me. Bumped it up to 6v and a lot more flavor came out.
I notice too, If I give a flavor a couple days I start to really like it. I guess my tastebuds need a chance to adjust. You may be right about the musty flavor though, the carts I had prior were musty, and after a few days I got used to them.
I only kept vaping them because I didn't want to waste the order, and we are getting dangerously low on Atomic Cinnacide. After a while they didn't bother me anymore, so I may just be used to that musty flavor now.
It makes me think of someones mom's cooking. They claim that there mom makes the best lasagna ever... even though moms shop at the same store and buy the same ingredients for the same recipe... just something about their moms lasagna tastes off. You swear your moms is better. I think just the way its prepared and the way its stored etc. may just taste a bit "off" to those of us that are used to anothers product....just a theory.

Someone round here had posted that the musty taste in cartos was actually a sign of freshness..that it's some sort of gas that is produced during the carto production and it permeates the liquid in them...and the longer they sit the less musty they taste...and this is why the cartos that come in blister packs are more likely to taste off..because the blister pack doesn't let the gas excape..so they were saying to let them sit for a couple of weeks and they're good... I dunno all about that...don't think I'd like my cartos hanging out without contributing to my well being....shiftless lay about cartos...
think I'm gonna dig out those from dec now and see how they vape..I know the raspberry can't possibly get any worse it tasted like an old woman in chuch on easter sunday smells..
