Are you owners with the Tobeco kayfun getting the whistling when taking a draw? Seems a little excessive from what I've seen in videos. I just ordered one myself so I was wondering if I could rig up something to cut down on the whistle.

Interesting. I've seen different theories on solving the whistle. Some say loosen the draw. Some say tighten the draw. Some say make sure the coil is a not too far away from the air hole. Some say it goes away if you draw hard while others say the opposite. I've tried full open and full tighten on the air flow control and I still get the whistle.
I'm going to experiment tomorrow.
You would think there must be some way to change the geometry inside to break up the air in just the right way.. or something.
Mine whistles too. Annoying. I used a drill to taper the sharp edges of the intake hole. Still whistles. I'm going to try pulling out the air control screw and using mesh in the air hole to control draw.
I'm also not getting much vapor...and I'm using a vertical twisted 1.4ohm microcoil with cotton. My ProTank II produces more vapor on a 1.8 micro. Great flavor though.
