We (husband and I) just placed our first order and are so excited to recieve them. We both are 2 pack a day smokers, $32 a day which is definitely breaking the bank but have been unsuccessful in everyother way to quit. Plus we have a young daughter who I'd love to see grow up, been smoking 13 years and feel it bad. We ordered 2 joye 510s, extra batts and attys, every kind of charger, drip tip, extra cartridges, hopefully enough juice for 1 month each (6 30ml). Our entire order was the same amount of money that we pay 1 week for cigs. After reading here I think we might regret getting just the 24mg, should have ordered some lower or 0 nic but we'll see what happens. Is there anything here that we didnt get that should get asap?
We ordered the bulk amount from Health Cabin which I've seen good reviews on but mostly because they accept paypal and they were giving a hard time on getting it back, so I figured use it on something that they wont approve here in the US :D .
I have a great feeling, whether we like it at first or not I'm going to give it my all to love these things!

Looks like you are all set! The 510 is a great model, and I can't think of anything you've left out.

Don't worry about the 24mg just yet. I was also a heavy smoker - about 30 a day, Lucky Strike, Pall Malls, and rollies, sometimes without filters.

And 24mg is actually too high for me. I like 18mg to 12mg.

People's prefered nicotine strength is very individual, and it's not always directly correlated to how much you smoke. I know a 10-a-day ultra light smoker who vapes 24mg, and a 3-pack-a-day smoker who vape 18mg.

So, just wait and see. :) Worst comes to worst, you can buy from PG or flavor doubles to water it down a bit, or some high-nic juice to amp it up.

Hi Amanda! I was the same way.....couldn't wait to get my Joye 510! It was a little different than I was expecting, BUT I was off analogs within 2 days. I was a 2 PAD-er. I had a couple of cravings, but there are some people on this site who NEVER had another craving after they started vaping. I am so proud of ya'lls first step! Stick with it and I promise, it'll work for you! You're going to start smelling things in abundance. I made a cup of coffee a few hours ago and I was drooling because it smelled so good! I am close to not smoking 4 cartons of analogs and I don't want another one. I find them nasty, now, which is surprising! This site is so full of encouragers that you can't help but love all of them, plus they have a live chat room, if you're into that. I hope you guys have 2 computers so as not to fight trying to post on this site!:p Please let us know when you get your kits!

You'll like you're 510:) I've only been vaping seriously for a week (had 2 bad experiences with crappy e-cigs the week prior... so I don't count that week). But I knew these things were the key to me quitting, so I camped out at my mailbox waiting for my eGo and 510 to arrive. The 510 and eGo were the final nail in the coffin... I was convinced. These things work; there's a learning curve to adjust to, but they work. Even though the eGo, with it's big battery, is awesome, I love the 510 too and use it almost as much as the eGo (feels more comfortable to use while driving, for example).

The money savings will get even better if you decide to buy e-juice in bulk and DIY. I just placed an order at VaporRenu.com and I got, what I imagine has to be a years worth of juice, for less than I would spend on analogs in a single month!

As mistressnomad said, wait until you get your liquid. If the nic level is too high you can go to a diy store and purchase some empty bottles and plain PG or VG liquid and cut it down.

For instance if you got 24mg of nic, fill an empty bottle halfway with juice and then the other half with PG. If the amount of vapor you are getting is fine then just use PG liquid, if you want more vapor at first add 40% PG and 10% VG to the 50% you started with.

My favorite blend is 80% PG 20% VG.

Wow thank you for all the responses! I've been reading here too much, I cant absorb anymore info right now! Thanks for the tips on the juice, definitely plan to experiment some but wanted to get basic right now just to get used to it.
Really hoping this works out for us!

Amanda, in all honesty, I was looking for a way to cut down my 2 pad habit. Ask me how surprised I am at myself for quiting smoking. Wow! I thought I was going to be chained to analogs the rest of my life. It was kind of like "A Christmas Carol." I am giddy, and so is my family....especially my husband.:p

I'm repeating something I've written on here before ... but when I first got into the e-cig experience, I had made up my mind in advance that I was going to make this work - regardless of whatever happened.

We all know that everything mechanical can have its frustrations and I've encountered a few. But ... it only took me four days after starting e-cigs to quit a three pad habit and I haven't smoked one since.

My lungs have cleaned themselves out, I don't get up in the morning with a horrible, gagging cough, I can breathe, I can taste, I don't smell like cigarettes and I'm enjoying vaping.

You have tons of information and a huge support group right here on ECF. Just make up your mind now that you WILL make this work for you! Good luck, and we're all in this with you!
