I was on holiday in Mexico a month ago and one evening I noticed a woman puffing on what looked like a cigarette, only it wasn't, it glowed blue on the tip. "What do have there?" I asked. "An electronic cigarette." she replied.

Well, that sounded pretty interesting and I planned on doing some research when I got back home. Which, thanks to this forum and other very helpful web sites I have been able to do.

I found a tobacco store where I could purchase a disposable to try out. Realized when I got home that the e-cigarette I had purchased had zero nicotine. Called up the store to ask what was going on. "We can't sell them with nicotine, it's illegal" was the reply. Well, having read all the information that I had, I was aware that he was misinformed. In Canada, it's not illegal, it hasn't been banned, it has only been an advisory against using e-cigarettes put out by Health Canada.

Well the concern seems to be that nicotine is addictive. No duh!

I like my nicotine and that's why I have continued to smoke cigarettes even though all the health warnings are out there.

But, after 50 years of smoking I am beginning to find the morning aftertaste a bit annoying, never mind all the other social taboos now connected to smoking.

I did try the no-nicotine disposable e-cigarette and found it quite pleasant. "If this is enjoyable without the nicotine I can't wait to find out how enjoyable it can be with it!" I thought.

I was able to find a reputable on-line Canadian seller and buy a starter kit with a few different varieties of e-juices at around 16mg nicotine.

I will have to wait till Monday as Canada Post doesn't deliver on weekends.

So, all I can do now is continue educating myself about e-cigarettes and wait in anticipation. :)

I smoked tobacco cigarettes for over 30 years. About 18 months ago I started vaping. I have tried many different styles and models and have gotten to really like the KR808 series for convenience and vapor production. I have found it really depends on where you purchase your products, though. A few months ago I bought the Social Vapor Kit from American Vapor Company and it has performed very well for me. Hope this was helpful.
Thanks, Tanminlon

Received the package Monday afternoon.

Have not smoked an analog cig since.

This has been a walk in the park. Really enjoy the e-cigs, especially the fruit and drink flavours.

I went all out and ordered a whole slew of upgrades, ego twists, provari, tanks, more juice, etc, etc.

The wife is happy, kids are happy, I am happy, to be off the analog cigs------ after all this is the digital age!

Switching to PV's is a no brainer and I find myself promoting them to just about everybody I meet.

They are either interested because they are smokers, ex-smokers, or they know someone that is a smoker and want to help them quit.

Today, I tried a few more juice flavours. I have quickly discovered that I didn't care much for the tobacco flavoured juices, so those are out of the line up. The fruit flavours are my favorites.

Loaded up a Smoktech DCT V2 Dual Coil Cartomizer and a Z-Atty Pro with juice today and vaped them on the Provari. Really noticed that the cartomizer had a distinct flavour difference from the genesis style atomizer. The Z-Atty Pro, set up at the voltage I found most suitable for me, had tons of vapour, flavour and a good throat hit. It's not very compact, so would probably only use it at home. It was great having the little DCT V2 Tank filled with juice and not having to top up the cartomizer manually all the time. The cartomizer does tend to hide a little of the flavour, but, on the Provari with the voltage adjusted to my liking had more then enough flavour, vaper and throat hit.

I really like the control that the variable voltage device allows you to have over the vaping experience.

5 days since I quit smoking analogs. Funny, the days seem to have flown by, whereas I remember them dragging out the last time I tried to quit.

Vaping tools are starting to pile up. I'm going to need a tackle box.
