Oh, I forgot to mention that the Amigo not only has short circuit protection but also insufficient input current protection. It will rapidly flash the button blue on both conditions and will return to the lowest (3.0v) voltage setting. I know very little of electronics but it behaves as if it has a capacitor in the circuit. If this capacitor discharges, it triggers the warning and reset. The capacitor discharge can occur in both conditions, to fast current draw (ie, a short or too low resistance) or too slow capacitor charging (insufficient input current).
