welcome you have com to the right place plenty of knowledge around here. you need a strong battery by the way it sounds. you should look into the ego. it has many options to help you give up analogs. i would start with a basic ego kit with the cartridges and then sample options for your ego. you also probably need a high nicotine juice considering you smoked 2 packs a day of reds. probably around 24mg and then adjust. do some trolling and the answers will be right in front of you. good luck!!

Gotta agree with hotty mc hot avatar. You just need to do some looking and reading around the forum. The ego is a very popular choice. Another would be this Electronic Cigarettes By Bloog The Max fusion. Great simple device. You'll need to decide on juice flavor as well. It's best to get lots of sample bottles so you don't get stuck with a bottle of juice you hate. Good luck!!

I would suggest the ego as well... I would suggest looking at liberty flights, the guys there are honest and will not try to take advantage of you. Email them, call them, PM them... Tell them what your situation is, they won't steer you wrong. Vaping is a wonderful thing with more options all the time, once you get started you will wonder why anyone smokes anymore at all.

liberty flights sells the 510 riva its the same thing as the joye ego but you can you pick up the whole kit for 35 dollars. Get some blue foam and syringes as some of the juice bottles dont always let the juice drip easily than when you squeeze it too much comes out. Make sure you buy plenty of juice as when you first start you will vape much more than were smoking you should find yourself cutting down as time goes by.

Vaping is serious business. After all, you are trying to replace a dangerous, smelly, nasty habit that in all ways will most likely kill you before your time. My advice. Get something that works and allows some experimenting. Get an ego ar a riva with 510 connections. Get some boge 510lr cartos from Madvapes and fill them with some juice. My advice is to stay away from the cigarette look alikes as they don't provide the benefits of a larger batt system. Start wth 24mg of nic. Make sure you get a strong sweet juice along with whatever else you choose. I found that my taste buds just died after 4 days of vaping due to smoking witdrawal symptoms and the only thing that saved me and kept me vaping was the Velvet Vapors "Vanilla, Carmel tobacco" flavor. I could taste and smell it even when all else failed. After about two weeks, my taste buds came back, my sore lip was gone and I felt 100% better. I smoked for almost 50 years, camel straights for 30 and Camel lights for 20. I never touched a cigarette once my gogo and riva hit the mailbox. Good luck and stick with it.

Another vote for the ego. Inexpensive ($30) and batteries last 8-10 hours. Pick up a couple boxes of boge 2.0 cartomizers. some juice and your in business.

Riva has (I believe) a 3 month warranty on batteries
Joye has a 6 month warranty. $10 more.

That doesn't make the Joye better IMO, I've tried both and they're both great. I just know they were getting low on the Riva's.

Ditto, the eGo.

If I were just discovering vaping today, I would be overwhelmed with the abundance of info available. I'm reminded of my brief network marketing experience where members were trained not to "vomit all over people", meaning overloading potential customers with more information than they were ready to handle.

The eGo (or one of it's variations) is inexpensive, sleek and provides reliably consistent performance.

Perfect for beginners and people who desire a "no fuss" vaping experience.

i'm sure you won't regret this decision to take the jump.
i too vote for the joye ego.
if you do go with the ego, liberty-flights has a kit for 39.95 if you use this exact link:
20% off your whole order!
click on the joye ego in the left column and then scroll down the page til you see this exact wording:
Joye eGo 510 - Special ECF Offer
that particular link has the 20% off entire order discount code included in it and they have VERY reasonable shipping for the CONUS.
when i ordered mine, i filled my shopping cart and before checking out, i called them and had Ty look at the contents and tell me if i had everything i needed to get started and to be able to go for a couple months. thankfully i did call, cuz he suggested a couple changes that made perfect sense.

this forum will answer so many questions, and some you didn't even know you had, and also there are bunches of ecig related reviews and tutorials on youtube.

I own an eGo and I bought my sister in-law a Riva. They are both good products but, the e-power is on sale at madvapes right now and it's tempting. This is similar to the eGo/Riva with a 510 connection but it uses generic 14500 batteries. It's a true 3.7V device and the batteries are significantly cheaper to replace. You might want to buy a couple extra batteries given how much you smoke. Madvapes has them for around $5.

Welcome, bro... I hope you're reading or planning to read all of the great suggestions on this page so far!

I smoked 1-1.5 packs of Marlboro Menthols... I've been vaping for about 15 months and I've never been happier. To start, I'd agree in saying that you should get a Joye ego/Riva/Tornado/Inferno starter kit with the bigger batteries (1000 mah vs. 650 mah). One battery should last you all day. Throw it on the charger at night, grab it in the morning and you're good to go!

For your first device, I'd say stay away from a tank system... go with a regular ego/tornado/riva/inferno etc... and get some cartomizers! Cartomizers are much more convenient. Fill them up, vape away... when the taste drops off a bit, pop the cap off and fill it back up. This should keep you happy and, most importantly, away from cigarettes and cravings. You can experiment with more advanced stuff later on. You'll save loads of money (I spend about 1/3 the amount of money on vaping than I did on cigarettes).

Also, since you like harsh cigarettes... start at 24 mg fluid. That should easily keep your cig cravings away. Do you also need help finding a supplier???

wow! i didn't even know about the e-power. i wish had known about it before i ordered the ego for my niece - i'm quite sure i would have gone that route for her as her starter kit. oh well, whatever it takes to get her off the cigs. but i am going to remember this the next time i gift a starter kit. thanks MickeyRat!
