I have been using vision stardust cartomizers on ego c twist batteries since I started vaping. I buy juices like crazy and I've heard a dripping atty is the best way to sample new flavors. What is it? Looks to be made of several components and I still can't figure out what they are supposed to do. Can someone explain the concept? Can someone just tell me what I need to buy to make this happen? I've been trying to figure this out comprehensively for two days. Please help me!!

If you search 510 or 306 dripping atomizers you'll find a windfall of info. youtube has a lot of vids on them as well.

Avidvaper special it's on their homepage when you go to the site. You will receive 2 LR 306 atomizers in your choice of resistance 1.5ohm, 1.8ohm, or 2.0ohm and 1 306 VII Drip Tip in any of their contoured translucent colors, black Delrin or white Delrin, and also in their new XL drip tips in black or white Delrin for a buck fifty more. That's what I got to sample juices and I couldn't be happier. I suggest you get the XL drip tip so you don't burn your lips.

You can use any 510 atty with a drip tip basically although as mentioned, there are ones out there for purchase specifically for that purpose. I've seen them called 'bridgeless' atomizers on vendor websites. Or you can do like I did and just pull the bridge out yourself on a regular 510 atty ... There are probably videos out there that can help show you how to do it.

Vape On! :)

You guys should probably explain to OP the concept of dripping first...

Dripping means putting a few drops of juice directly onto the coil, without using wicks or carto filler material to deliver juice to the coil. If you vape this way, it eliminates the risks that your wick is not efficiently delivering juice to your coil, so you wont get bland taste or burnt taste because your coil is always well saturated with juice to be vaporized.

Dripping is so highly reverred because a big part of performance problems in PVs lies in the fact that the wicking/ filler material you use does not move juice quickly enough and/ or in a large enough amount for your coil to vaporize, which ends up in vapor tasting bland or burning the wicking material leading to burnt taste.

510 atomizers for dripping. Or if you want to save money, try the IGO-L rebuildable atomizers - saves you lots of $$, just have to tackle the learning curve. Once you do, it's worth it. There are other dripping rebuildable atomizers out there, I'm sure. Any will be much less expensive than buying dripping atomizers over and over.

Thank you all so much. I have one other question. There are ego atomizers. Are these for dripping? Also, what is the difference between a type "A" and a type "B"? I appreciate all the help.

You could drip with an eGo atomizer, but it doesn't work well nor is it practical. Those atties are for using an eGo tank.

Everyone that drips has a favorite atomizer, but that's not the point here. When learning how to drip you can expect to flood the atty, get dry hits, and most likely pop an atty or two. So learn how to drip first, and then worry about finding the nicest atomizer ever made.

I would suggest something like these to learn with.

I wanted a dripping atty for one reason, trying a variety of juices right after the mailman leaves, without having to switch atomizers or spend 20 minutes cleaning them just to try another flavor. Even the dripping atty's I've seen seem to hold more juice than I want for flavor testing, and use poly fill or silica wicks which still hold some flavor.

So this is my solution, working ok so far. I got an IGO-L and wired up a tiny little mesh wick. It only holds 3-4 drops max which is plenty for me to get a taste and when it's dry I just burn it once more to get any lingering flavor out then load up a couple drops of the next flavor.

There is probably something terrible or dangerous about this, I'm no where near a vaping pro yet. I do check ohms though and this is holding steady at about 2.0 +/- 0.1

If I'm doing something really bad and just don't realize it I welcome input from someone more experienced than myself.

Madstabber, good info but what ohm would be good for a JC VEA battery, a Kanger EVOD batter and a Kanger ESmart battery? I can figure out the threading but this ohm thing has me stumped. Thanks all, good thread!
