I have made up my mind that I want a new unit, but my eyes are starting to cross as I keep flip flopping and cannot decide! So far this has been such a frustrating exp for me. I am still using my 510 manual start up kit, with much help i will be ordering some boge sr cartomizers to replace the cartridges that came with the kit.

So far CanVape has caught my eye with their great prices.

I have been debating getting a fatboy 510 battery and some boge lr cartomizers, and maybe try some Smoktech Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers.

Then I get looking at the Smoktech E-Power 14650 510 Kit and try figure out what cartomizers to get.

Its almost to the point where I am getting mad, not looking to get anything fancy just something that gets the job done and right!

Any input would be great!

Hey Ryan87, the best advice I can give you is to stick with ONLY SR cartos and atties on a 510. The battery of a 510 kit can't handle the type of current draw that Low Res utilizes. LR is meant to be used on eGo batteries or larger, so to try LR you will have to buy an eGo kit. If you are on a budget, try an eGo passthrough battery and some LR cartos and atties to see if it is for you as a cheaper alternative to an entire kit.

For me it is the best setup, not just a cheaper alternative. All the kits include things I don't want or need, tanks, attys, chargers.

I am waiting for the 1100mah pass-through batteries to be back in stock because several friends want what I have. Simplicity itself. A battery and a USB cable to charge and I can still vape while it is charging. LR Star Dust and I'm good to go!

Enjoy!

If you want to stick with canvape, I would go with the 1100mah Riva, or with the KSD egoVV. The VV ego does have a few known hiccups, nothing catastrophic mind you, but the different voltages and ability to vape while charging make it desirable. The Riva will work great. Lots of people have them. If you go with that one though you'll have to pick up a separate ego charger as it won't work in a 510 charger.

As far as cartomizers go, boges are the way to go IMO. If you pick up one of the batteries I mentioned you can get some LR ones as well. You could also dabble in tanks. Canvape has fairly good prices on those. They'll give you a lot more time before a refill compared to a standard carto but theyre quite a bit more fiddly. that's up to you though.

Hopefully you can get some good info from this forum and make an informed purchase you won't regret.

Keep on vaping!

I know that vapoursolutions.Com has genuine joyetech ego passthoughs in stock. All different colors. I ordered one about two weeks ago.

Hands down, my ego passthrough is the best thing I've ever purchased since I started vaping. So much better than a standard 510 and the ability to charge and use is great. You always leave the house with a fully charged battery. Not to mention you don't have to mess with the screw in charger anymore since it's a good solid mini USB plug. Much better connection and you never have e juice where you're plugging in your battery that you have to worry about wiping out before you plug it up.

Get a Joye passthrough, though. Some of the knock off stuff is not nearly as good as the actual Joye products, IMO.

The 900mah is great, lasts all day. I've ordered 3 of these lately and the shipping is quick and the price is great. Plus, the shipping only cost $2.50.

Joye EGO USB Manual 900mah Battery

I order stuff for people at work that want to convert, they all love these.

You don't need to pay extra for a charger, either, so the cost is actually well worth the difference considering that.

There are so many cool things for the ego battery, too. I have a few different configurations that I go through. Black battery, stainless mini-cone, black cart, stainless drip tip. Black battery, black full cone, black cart, black tip, etc. You can make it look totally different by switching up your cones, carts, tips, etc. and not get bored with the same old look all the time. I have the neck lanyard strap, that's pretty cool sometimes, too. I have a couple of tank set ups, including the Joye Type A setup (which I have a few new tanks, attys, and silicone plugs for, if anyone is interested, lol)

I Love My Ego!!!

Oh, and if you get an Ego, the Boge LR (2.0ohm) cartomizers are awesome. I've tried about everything out there and keep coming back to these. My second favorite would probably be the smoketech dual coil 2.0ohm carts, but some of them are harder to draw through and I don't seem to get the life out of them that I get out of the Boges.

Considering you already have a 510, step it up to an Ego, or something larger. The E-Power 14650 is pretty decent, though. It's basically a cheap mod.

The Mega DC Cartos are great, in my opinion, but are fatter than a 510 so it would look silly. They are the same width as an Ego.

And just to reiterate what Noiz said, don't use LR stuff on the 510s. To be honest it sounds like an Ego would be the best fit for you. It will allow you to experience all matters of LR atties and cartos, and the Ego is a well respected and popular unit.

You're going to get slightly or even vastly different opinions from everyone, Ryan. Vaping is very much about user preference. IMO, Your best bet is to buy an ego from Canvape (pass-through if you can), Boge cartos SR & LR to see what you like best on it, and then go from there. You'll probably be looking for something else in a month or so anyway when the mod-bug bites ya :p

Yeah, and the "genuine" Joyetech will cost you at least 2x as much and is made in the exact same factories as the "knock offs". If the "knock off" breaks, buy a new one, at least you could still afford it  Come on folks, let's not make this into a debate about genuine vs. knock off, that's not what he asked for.

It's already been said, but the KSD eGo VVs are what I started on and I was very happy with them (until I got my Provari).

vv eGo ego variable voltage ego ksd 3.2 3.7 4.2 pass through usb 900mAh 5 click electronic cigarette e-cig smoke vape vaper vapor vapour

I mostly used Boge LRs on it and that was optimal for me. If you're still looking for PVs in the $20 price range, you can't go wrong with these. The charger is just a standard mini-USB charger....nice and cheep.

Don't bother getting another kit....just get 2 of these batts, some boge LRs, and a charger and you're golden.

That's it Nelly, waste your money, my joyetechs(2-1000mah) are 9 months old and still charge as if they were new. How many have had to buy new knock offs after a few months? A total waste of cash, everyone do themselves a favour and get quality before you make a mistake...over and over again.

Waste my money?? I've not had to replace anything at all. Had my so called "knock offs" for over 4 months and no issues. You have an opinion and that's great, but the place for it isn't in this thread. If you want to tell everyone how superior your device is you're more than welcome to make your very own thread to tell everyone how much money they're wasting.

Ryan, have you decided on a kit yet? I can't remember if I read that you did or not, quite a few of these types of threads around lately. Let us know what you decided on when you do! :)

You love to go overboard, so slow down. Don't forget you started the slinging of you know what. Next time skip the post and move on. Sheesh. He was speaking of a Fatboy 510 batt, so my comment was justified. Stop criticizing everyone's comments and read your own plz.
