So I have tried my hand at mech mods, not really my thing, and I have a handful of different APVs (provaris, vamos and a segelie 100), but as I am an addict and like shiny toys, I wanted to get another VW device that goes to at least 30 watts, something like my vamo 7, but with a better build quility. But i'm also not looking for another box mod, I'm kind out of idea's, seen a few online, but I don't trust website reviews.... Any suggestions would be awesome!

I still think the Innokin SVD 2.0 is a great deal for a 20W tube mod with step down...but yeah, it's only 20W.

What's wrong with the Vamo? I've had my v7 since November and its a pretty solid piece. Its not a stainless skull cracker like a Sigelei but its certainly not the flimsy cheap aluminum that my Smok SiD is.. Did you get an actual KSD Vamo or one of the cheaper knockoffs that are all over Fasttech?? I'm looking for a 30w box with an 18650 to replace my MVP but I'm actually thinking I might just get another v7. It works perfect, and 40w is waaay more than I need. This time I'm getting stainless cause I can already tell the gunmetal finish I got isn't gonna stay gunmetal forever!
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'm kinda leaning towards the segelei right now, but definitely still open to more ideas.
As for my vamo, I have a 7 and a 5, the 5 is solid, but I can't sub ohm with it, and my 7 has a loose down wattage button, and my fire button sticks, and they aren't clones and they aren't bad by any means, they're just not up for rough housing

I just realized I forgot about the Smoktech BEC Pro 50W. It fires down to .3 ohm. Early firmware versions had overheating issues but they've fixed that in firmware now.
So after looking around I've seen the BEC Pro with prices ranging from 75$ to 130$, how concerned should I be about getting a clone vs an authentic mod with it?
I don't think there is much of a risk at all...the BEC Pro hasn't been all that popular as people have moved to box mods. I doubt the clone makers have taken the time to clone it and if they did I think it would be more like $40. The one at $75 is probably legit. Fasttech has it for around $76.
