Want bling on your mod?

I was looking around for stainless steel plugs, inserts, caps, and what not to use for a tank mod, and I came across these...I figured I could use this around the outside of polycarbonate tubing, with a grommet on the inside for the seal.

I'm thinking some of those might be interesting to just slide onto my atty. The ones with the rings of gems would look really pretty if they would fit.

Tell me about it! The good thing is, they have precise sizing when you order so you can get them in just about any size and fit them to almost anything. I'm gonna use the sugar plugs on there as end caps for a tank mod. The polycarbonate tubing I ordered should fit right over the plug. All I gotta do is drill out a place for the atty and drip tip.

Question: Is silicone safe to use in a tank system?

If it is food safe when cured then it should be ok. DAP100 at home depot/lowes or aquarium silicone are some good examples.

Cool, thanks. I think the silicone ear plugs should be safe. I'll let the silicone soak in some juice that I'm not too fond of and see if any smell or color leeches out of it.
