Just bought an ego box kit, some regular 510 carts, some Boge cartos, a 510 LR atty, a 510 mega carto, couple different flavors of 16mg juice.

How can I get LOTS of vapor without throat hit. The strong throat hit makes my cough and I find it very unpleasnt. I just want lots of vapor and the nicotine fix.

I previously bought a KR808 Kit (after weeks of research) and couldn't even "smoke" it. Very little vapor and way to much TH. Very disapointed. Anyone want to buy a brand new KR808 kit, cheap??

I'm pretty discouraged at this point. I've invested ALOT of time and a significant amount of money. I had tried a couple of brands at the local mall ("Clouds" for one) and was impressed by the taste, vapor, and lack of throat hit (bite). Thought they would all work that way so wanted to buy the reccomended types and brands.

Been smoking analogs for 35 years. Really, really need to find an acceptable alternative!

I can't afford to keep wasting money. PLEASE HELP!!

What seems to work for me as well as others, is the addition of VG (vegetable glycerin) to your juice, and VG can be bought at WalMart.
(Read posts about all this in DIY or do search here as well)
I have a extra bottle, add some juice, then a couple drops or so of the VG. Mix well and put in my cartomizer.
It really adds to the vapor.
I do believe that are some other factors that might help as well, but this could be a very inexspensive one to try.

You can also order juice from vendors, with more VG in it as well.

Good Luck and congrats on finding your way here.
There is tons of info and lots of good people to help you!!

I am really new at this and I also got a Kr808.. I do know what you mean by throat hit... The first "drag" and I was gagging... I am slowly getting used to it, but am already looking for something better.... All in all it has kept me for the most part satisfied as I am cutting way back now on analogs which in my book is a winner...

Hi Kardenm!! A general rule of thumb is that PG(propylene glycol)=throat hit with less vapor and VG(vegetable glycerin)=vapor with less throat hit. VG also has a tendency to mute flavors a bit as well.

You may want to try some liquids with a higher percentage of VG like Texasgranny mentioned such as a 50%VG to 50%PG ratio. There are some good suppliers out there where you can decide the ratio you want for each liquid. A couple that I have used are Gourmet Vapor and FreedomSmokeUSA. Good luck and happy vaping.

Hey Kardenm,

There are several vendors that really fit what you are looking for, some of it is going to depend on the flavor you are vaping...the reason I say that is because I vape 100% VG and the only significant throat hit producing juices have all been tobacco flavors. I would recommend vaping some 100% VG juices from a good vendor, just about anything from Vaperite will suit your mucho vapor requirement. Though he is certainly not alone backwoodsbrew also has alot of vapor but some of those juices have a nice solid throat hit as well, which you may not like. You can get 100% vg juices from most vendors on request...but I feel a lot of them just move their pg recipe into a vg mix and it doesn't always do great things for the taste...I prefer places that start with VG.

Another issue is your LR atomizer....that thing will turn a mild TH into a karate chop to the throat fast, it does produce a lot of vapor at the same time but I think if you go 100% VG you will not feel the need to use the LR to get tons of vapor...I only go LR when I want more throat hit.

There are other devices that produce more vapor and less throat hit than a 510 but since you already have one I think it would be cheaper to use different juices to fix your problem rather than investing in another model.

just my 2 cents.

THANKS so much for all the advice!

Kram7: Thanks. Yes I'm interested in a trade. Don't need the KR808 stuff. Only used one batt and carto briefly. We can probably work something out but I'll be traveling today till after Christmas.

texasgranny, stepiba, Xenu, trouble2k: Thank you, thank you. I will look into this VG thing. May that will solve my problem. I sure hope I can make this all work.

texasgranny: If you would, where should I look for the VG at walmart? I will go buy some TODAY!

Another thought.....

The first few days, of vaping....I could NOT take a deep inhale....it almost hurt! Burned !

After reading here, I found that many noobs have this problem in the vaping experience.

I had to just inhale to my mouth...then blow out...no throat inhale.

Then after a couple days, my body (??) adjusted and I was able to do a full throat inhale like
I would with a regular analog...

Just a thought.

I have had a similiar issue with the KR808d-1.
The flavor is so strong that I can taste every 'flaw' in the juice. By 'flaws' I mean I am tasting burning peppery plastic.

On the advice of the fine folks here at ECF, I tried different flavors. Over 60 bottles in the course of 2 weeks.

What I have discovered during the course of this fairly expensive experiment are a couple of points:

1. The KR808d-1 produces far more heat and flavor than my RN4081. The KR808 acts like a magnifying glass to flavors, and this is unpleasant to me, especially if the flavor is plastic, artificial, or perfume like.

2. I can vape flavors on my RN4081 that would literally make me gag on the KR808d-1. I've gone to trying out flavors on the RN4081 first. If I hate it on that model of e-cig, I am definitely going to hate vaping that same flavor on the KR808.

3. Right now, Backwoods Brew is my go to company for flavor. I have every flavor in the Vapor4Life catalogue and no offense to their fine company, but I can not vape a single one of their flavors. Let me be clear, I like the quality of the Vapor4Life hardware, and I like their customer service, but there is just something in their flavors of juice that I can not tolerate no matter what the nicotine content is. While I can only tolerate 3 of the Backwoods Brew flavors so far, that's 3 more than the V4L flavors.

4. My RN4081 isn't going to last forever. I am concerned with how I am going to replace parts and pieces. I'd also like a model of e-cig that has cool vapor like the RN4081, the easy drag of the KR808, and flavor production somewhere between.

5. Like everyone else said, juice is the quickest and easiest way to change your vaping experience. I'm still looking for the right juices, but even with that search on going, I'm smoke free since October. I never thought I'd quit smoking. So even with the hiccups, keep looking for the right thing for you. You and your health deserve it. :)

I got mine in the pharmacy dept. The brand is HUMCO and is around the pharmaceucital hand sanitizers/creams
(not the beauty section)
I also saw some at Hobby Lobby in the cake decorating dept, which I think is the purer form.
Also at Michaels (hobby) in the cake decorating isle also.
