Want to buy Ego starter kit but am concerned with having to "TILT" it too much - what are my alternatives?

No leaking issues?

The only time I've had any leaking issues is when I've messed with my wicks. I did that on a couple of my T3's. Fixed them with a bit of a cotton facial pad to replace the flavor wick I pulled out. Lesson learned; if you pull the flavor wick do not lose it until after you make sure that it is flowing like you want it to. ;)

I have never had too much of a problem with my ego either (Although it really isn't the ego, it is more of the stardust), unless I am doing some chain vaping. It is not like you have to spend 10 minutes rolling it around, even then. Just flip it over a few times, and let it rest for a minute or two. I actually have found that I really enjoy watch the juice move in my clearomizer... but maybe that is just me.

I started with an ego type starter kit that came with a clearo and 5 cartos. I still use the ego every day when I'm out and about but I prefer to just use the cartos.

This means you have to keep it filled but a full XXL carto lasts me my whole working day no problem and requires no tipping whatsoever.

There are plenty of other options too as suggested already, but if you are currently using a lesser - sub ego - e-cig then whatever delivery system u decide on, I would not hold back from getting the ego! For me at least, it was a ground breaking move after cig-a-likes!

I am such a noobie. I am almost ready to buy a kit and have my eye on the Ego starter kit. I hear there are issues with having to tilt it to wet the wicks. Has this been resolved? What are my alternatives?

If you are still on cig-a-likes, buy the ego kit! Its more than a step up. You will find the alleged tilting problem to be a non issue. If you can afford it, go with the variable voltage batteries.

Hi and welcome......You could go for a bottom coil. Such as Kanger T3 and Evods. That's what I use.
Also, the Kanger ProTank is great!:D

I agree with the bottom coil recommendation. When I got my eGo kit I didn't like the CE4 clearomizers that came with it at all. Didn't seem to wick well and not much vapor or flavor.

Now I'm using the CE3 clearos (bottom coil) and they seem to work well. They hold about 1.4ml of liquid and you have to fill them with a syringe but it's not too big a deal. They're relatively inexpensive also.

I haven't tried the T3 or Protank. A lot of it is personal preference. Find something that works for you and you're all set.

I just got a ego twist Ultra 900 mah kit few weeks ago. I am very happy with the batteries. The clearos that came with the kit, on the other hand, are absolute garbage. I think they are CE4 clearos. They tasted like flame thrower-gorilla barbeque party after two days of vaping, no matter which way I tipped them. luckily I also purchased a Boge F16 tank and some Boge Pre-punched cartos with my order. I'm completely happy with the tank system on my ego. Its fricking fantastic. I wasn't happy, however, with the Boge cartos. They begin to taste awful, like the clearos, after about 3 days of vaping. Attempting to get it right, I ordered some fusion cartos from IkenVape. we'll see. Mind you, I'm vaping a chocolate mint jucie which is very dark and thick and so that type of juice might be more difficult for a carto to handle. I don't know as of yet. But like I said, I am very happy with the ego twist and the tank. No leaking, no problem, huge vapor, etc. I like LR cartos in the tank with the battery set at around 3.8 volts. I Hope to hear how you come out.

From newbie to newbie,
your friend,
Jason
