Want to buy Ego starter kit but am concerned with having to "TILT" it too much - what are my alternatives?

I agree with ohcrop! I am a clearomizer lady. I have about 20 different kinds, I had to try them all! IMHO, the bottom coil is the way to go. I have top coils, too, and I actually like swirling them. You can vape them when they are full for quite a while, the actual tilting it into your mouth to vape moistens the wick. I don't want you to think, in order to get any vapor you have to be spinning the thing like crazy. And yes, I swirl my EVOD and my new Pro tank as well. It is second nature for me now. It's not necessary, but it's just a "vaping style" I guess is what I would call it. I hope you find a great kit that will work for you!

You know until today I would have said I am a clearomizer lady too CE5s and Kangr Protank.

Today I got in my vape mail my first Carto Tank. I am now in heaven. No tilt a whirl swirl. A smooth cool plentiful vape. Honestly the best vape I have had to date and it is just a junk Boge F17 tank.

Next month I will be shopping for a glass tank I believe. :)

Almost everyone on here has smoked cigarettes. Not being rude, but what is the big deal with tilting? Didn't we all hold cigarettes horizontally when we smoked? Just asking. I honestly don't see the big deal in tilting. It's quite natural for me.

I had no problem with tilting until I switched from 70/30 juice to 50/50. The thicker juice on my CE5s made the tilt a whirl swirl a very slow and painstaking process because the juice just didn't move fast enough for a simple tilt to work with a top coil.

The tilting thing is more of a clearomizer issue than an eGo issue; any type of clearomizers that are top-coil (where they have long wicks that go from the top of the inner tank down to the bottom) need to be tilted sometimes when the juice gets lower so you get your entire wicks saturated. The bottom-coil design clearomizers don't suffer from this but they seem to have their own issues in my experience (a bit more prone to dry hits or inconsistent wicking issues in general) but I haven't tried any of the newer ones since the T3 came out.

I use the eGo-c 1000 right now, looking to buy a VV unit soon. My clearos have a great smooth hit with 2.8Ω heads, however they do dry up if you don't roll them. If I'm going to be out somewhere & don't want to have to mess with it, I will take my big cartomizer tank. No rolling around to wet the wicks, & it holds enough juice to last all day. (3-3.5ml.) The carto tank is not as smooth, & doesn't taste as good, but with the right juice it holds me over until I can get back to the good clearos at home. I have also had issues with both clearos, & cartos leaking in my truck. I work 10hr shifts during the day, & if I leave my stuff in the truck it gets too hot. With heat the liquid thins out, & the viscosity changes causing the leaks. I quickly solved this problem with a "lunch cooler" and a few ice packs. I just step out, & get them out of the cooler at breaktime. It works great! Good luck. :2cool:

Thank you Jason - What is a tank?

Sorry. A tank is.....well....it's a tank with a punched cartomizer inside. Basically the catromizer has one or more holes punched in it so that the e-liquid in the tank can keep the cartomizer quenched. Here's an example and in fact, the vary one I purchased for my Ego Twist: http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/c31.htm Also, go to YouTube.com and search for cartomizer tank or tankomizer and you will find plenty of "how to" tutorials and video reviews. I'm going to watch a snuff film and go to bed. Keep me updated

Clearo's are pretty durn handy and are among the least "fiddly" of your options at this point. I think my top-coil system (Halo Triton) gives a pretty durn good vape (read the reviews) but to each his own. If you just can't decide, check this out. Both vendors are forum sponsors. I kind of doubt a carto/tank system will meet you needs right now. Switching juice is easier with the clearo's, and you're going to be sampling a lot of juices, I would think.

i used an eGo with an innokin iClear 16 for a good while before i broke it(how like me lol). i broke it bc i wasnt paying attention to what i was doing and pulling a drip tip off a carto and pulled the device in half haha. other than that(which was all me!) it was amazing the entire time i had it, no tilting/shaking or anything. i just kept the juice level reasonable in the clearo
