So Cal
any way to go about asking a brick and mortar store what brand of flavor they use for a certain mlb tobacco flavor that works as an all day vape? they would only really be losing one customer by giving me the information so i could buy my own flavor to make my own juice, but i dont see them just giving it up that easily. anyone have any experience with asking them?

lol MLB tobacco? is that miguel cabrera flavored? must be a real hit....er home run eh?

just ask them, dude!! whats the worst that'll happen? i doubt they'll go wild wild west on you and bring the shotgun out from underneath the register.

worst case scenario...you'll probably get clubbed to death by a louisville slugger. not really a bad day at the track tbh

What kind of a reply do you expect to a question like "You don't mind telling me what that is, so I never have to buy it from you again?" Really?

im thinking maybe i will try to find someone from here who might be able to help me track it down. maybe send them a bottle of it to try. im sure there are people in here who love vaping on tobacco flavors and have tried every one they could get their hands on

thats a good idea

im also on a neverending search for a no-name tobacco blend. i got a bottle of eliquid from a random guy at a conecrt. it's the best tobacco flavor ive ever had and i have no idea what it is. the closest flavor ive been able to find is called "cowboy" at a local B&M.

after alot of trial and error ive concluded that most vendors just name their tobacco flavors the same random stupid ....ty names like marlboro and camel and none of the names actually mean anything

good luck

Tell them you heard about diacetyl and the other custard notes and dont want to vape flavorings that could be harmful and that Flavourart and TFA are the only two brands that actively test and disclose this information. Ask if they are using one of these companies. If they won't tell you after that or dont know what those chemicals are tell em to pound sand.

So I'm on the fence about this one. I get the fact that juice vendors need to keep trade secrets. I get they sell a unique product, but there's also something to be said about how a store handles questions and full disclosure.

I have a B&M I go to that's local. I also have a acquaintance relationship, like when you have a favorite bar and they know your name. I don't purchase any juice from them, but I do taste and try and they ask for feedback.I did ask once of the owners, and they told me the companies they purchase their flavoring from. Not the exact flavors they purchase from x company, but they use 2 or 3 vendors for flavors and 1 supplier for their nic, PV and VG. I would never ask questions like "How much x flavor from x vendor", but in full disclosure - what's really wrong with asking that question? You not asking for their "Mixology", or how much they pay. I'm also not going out and posting that "X B&M is using X vendors".

Maybe the owner felt safe telling me - I'm not sure. I didn't ask if they tell anyone else, and the owner didn't say "hey - keep this info to yourself". I have no problem recommending this shop to friends and family. The shop also understands that their juice and hardware selection isn't the "end all, you don't need to go anywhere else". They even recommend other juice companies and help source products they wouldn't normally carry and not just to me, but to all of their customers.

I think you need to weigh the information disclosure - some vendors do need to keep trade secrets and not disclose, but some will and at the end of the day - Would you trust them? Actions speak louder than words.
