want to get into mods and rebuildables

So right now IM running a vision spinner 1300 with a smoktech clearomizer. Id like to get into rebuildables as well as a vv vw mod so
Many options. IM really in search of something that is gonna be fairly easy to learn on but I don't want something IM gonna wanna upgrade from in a week. IM pretty good tinkering with things and got a decent understanding of electronics. Would like to hear some good suggestions without breaking the bank. Id like a provari but don't think I can spend that much right now.

protank will be a little more challenge to build due to its smaller size. most start rebuilding on a protank or vivi nova. then they may eventually upgrade to a rda(rebuildable drip atomizer). for mods if your looking for something good that wont break the bank, I would suggest a vamo, svd or mvp2 depending on what style you like. I always preferred the vamos and they are pretty good at taking abuse.

Check out this thread. Don't get to overwhelmed. It is alot of information in one place. Also keep in mind, you don't have to sub ohm to do rebuildables, or to drip. It is just a different method many folks enjoy. That thread will have alot of answers for you though regarding a wide range of topics.

I'd +1 for a Kayfun lite+.. Got mine in the mail a few days ago and it hasn't left my nemesis since Lol, Extremely happy with it. It's fairly easy to build I'd say, Hardest part is wrapping the coil. Everything else is Bree-Z. You have less area to work with on the protank so If you start working on those first you'll have a better understanding of playing with coils/wrapping them.

for a PV mod i'll recommend a SVD, Although mine is feeling left out since my Nemi and KFL+ came in the mail :D

The SVD is a well made device capable of delivering enough power for your needs, while being a very well built and solid device. I've gone as low as to fire a 0.8 coil on it just to see what it could fire. with my KFL+ and the SVD, I can fire it at 15watts and man o man it's some gooood vaping.

What exactly are you basing that claim on?

I've taken an SVD apart. I can assure you it is NOT well made. In fact I would define it as potentially dangerous.

The wires inside are not soldered or using quick connects, they are hand twisted and held in place with a small piece of tape. In time the adhesive on that tape will dry out and stop sticking. So, it is possible that either through age, a sudden drop, or shaking, the positive battery wire will loosen and separate. If that happens then it's also possible for that exposed wire to contact the body of the SVD. If that happens you had better pray you figure out what's going on fast because it will create a direct short that bypasses all of the neat safety features inside the SVD and can cause the battery to heat up and possibly catch fire or even explode.

This is something you should NEVER see in an ecig mod that uses 18650 batteries:

It's just cheap, sloppy, and dangerous.

This is how wires should be spliced together.

Alright, You again.

Tired of you Bashing the SVD because YOU got a bad one. Im quite sorry you did man, Im in love with my SVD and i've had it for a good while now. No need for you to be an all out here buddy, YOUR experiance is different from MY experiance and I respect your opinion on the matter, But from the other thread I was in and recommended an SVD to someone, They got one and they love it, Regardless of your complete sense of entitlement to feel bashing the crap out of it was necessary. I've dropped mine it's fallen over I can assure you nothing is wrong with it, Do you not like the SVD? Why didn't you just Solder the wires nicely yourself? You could have always DIY fix and had a great device that I along with a lot of people enjoy. I don't think it's Cheap, Sloppy or dangerous, I believe whoever was working and made your batch is Cheap, Sloppy and dangerous.

I really Love this thing, Maybe thats affecting my judgment here, All in all I feel like it IS a great mod, along with how it performs for me.
I'm sorry you got a Bunk one, Doesn't mean they are ALL going to be bunk, It's a hit and miss and I blame the certain people who don't take the time to do a good job to put together these mods. It's not the companies fault, Just the turds who can't take the time to solder good. It's really not that hard to do.

I'm tired of seeing you claim they are "well built" because YOU don't know any better.

Ignorance is bliss, but making suggestions to others based on your own ignorance is borderline stupid. Especially when you've been told more than once how poorly these are built.

And it's not just mine, they are ALL built exactly the same. Yours too. Yours may work, you may like it, but remove that black plastic cap like I did and you'll find the exact same thing, twisted wires held together with cheap tape. And in your mind that is "well made"? Is the wiring in your TV or car held together with tape? No solder, no electrical connectors, just twisted together and held with tape?

Here's a little fact for you to mull over before you go telling someone else about how well made the SVD is. If it was marketed as a consumer electronics device in the US it couldn't be legally sold the way it is now. That's why it doesn't carry the CEA logo. It can't qualify for one, it's not built up to the required safety codes.

Perhaps you got a knock off? Just saying... I have issues with mine. It shuts itself off randomly. But to just straight bash someone else is kind of pointless.

Not trying to get in the middle of this, but that CE logo is widely thought to stand for China Export.

It's deliberately made to look like the European Union mark but (from my own research) it's recognized as being a misuse of the official CE logo.
