Hello Everybody,
Firstly thanks to anyone who may read this and want to help. I,m 49 years old have had many problems with addictions in my life.Have managed to stay free from alchohol and ....... for the past 15yrs, had a major problem with that for 15 years previous to that, Have also been through various addictions to speed, ecstasy, and have managed to cut them out. My biggest crutch for over 30 years was an addiction to Pot, I don,t think I went a day without it for those 30years, however 2 months ago I finally managed to knock that on the head>Well I can,t tell you how much better my life has been in those past 2 months.Anyway the last thing was to rid myself of cigarettes which I,ve been smooking since I was 14, it,s been 2 weeks, I satrted with patches , gum ,inhalor e cigarettes and Allen Carrs Book Easy way to stop smoking, he says you have to continue smoking cigarettes whilst reading the book but I just used the electronic cigarettes, day 2 was the hardest, but I didn,t give in , after the first week I stopped the patches, and have been relying on the gum and the ecigarettes for the past week ( i have 2 one on charge,so I always have one ready)I,ve been buying refills(nicotine ones) for these , but now i want to stop with the nicotine refills and just have ones with some flvour I don,t really care too much what ,its just the vapour coming out of my mouth that seems to help.I saw a guy on Utube showing how to fill up one of these refills with the juice and want to make my own non harmful juice. My friend spent 50pounds on a vapouriser but I,m too mean and would rather spend that money on art supplies, which I,ve turned my attention to instead. The info is probably here somewhere so could some kind person please point me in the right direction I would be very grateful, thanks Michael

Welcome MickyBoyKOB, After winning the fight over your other demons, nicotine could well be the hardest from what I have heard. Just a suggestion, taper off slowly. From what I have read, nicotine in and of itself is not as harmful as inhaling all of the tar and chemicals in cigarettes, therefore if you are currently at say 24 mg nic, cut it down to 18 mg nic for awhile, then down to 12 then 10 and finally to zero if you want. I smoked for over 50 years (no other drugs) and stopped cigarettes 100% the first day. I started at 24 Nic and quickly went down to 10 mg nic, which I find just right for me.

WOW! I'm impressed!

I like the flavours at postmodernsmoking and vapeescape. Beware of bubblegum flavour though- according to the EU, it makes kids want to take up smoking! According to me, it makes me stop eating bubblegum flavoured sweeties! Nom nom nom!

Take a look at a calculator like eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator and just don't include the nicotine. I use about 10-15% flavour and 10% distilled water (battery top-up water from Halfords...scarier than it sounds!) in mine at a 70PG/30VG mix for a nice throat hit and lots of vapour.

Make sure you've got some syringes and something to mix in (both websites I mentioned sell them). I would advise having smaller syringes tbh. I LOVE my 2ml one as it allows me greater accuracy with measuring compared to my 10 or even 5ml.

Last, but by no means least, welcome!x

Good luck kicking the nicotine. With your attitude nicotine will just be another thing you used to do in a very short time. Best of luck brother!

to the Allen Carr books. That's how I quit! Thanks to him I only smoke non-nicotine liquids these days.
