Hi and welcome to ECF,

I agree with most of what you have been told so far, but I would also suggest:

Proper inhalation technique

Having some juices that are at least 24 mg nic.

When I first started I was using 16, even the 18 seemed to send me into coughing fits. After doing a lot of reading here I thought it was the nic level doing it, so I cut back even more. That didn't work, yes it helped but I still was craving smokes, and when I would be around my sister when she was smoking I had to have one.

A juice vendor had sent me a bottle of 24 mg juice in my first order with her, guess she already knew what I learned. What I needed was to adjust to the difference of the vape vers smoking, adjust my pg/vg ratio and up to 24 mg. While lower nic juices may be fine for most the day, sometimes you have to have that extra kick in there. Some go higher than the 24 even.

And finally drink enough water, it does make a difference.

New Vaper to New Vaper....

I just made the switch to vaping from analogs (3 weeks now). Biggest mistake I made in the beginning was running out of carts. That is the only time I experienced true weakness. Further, I discovered that I couldn't just vape when I would normally smoke. I vape 3x as much as I smoked to compensate for the missing of analogs.

Next weakness that I did not see coming....vapers tongue. It is a real thing! For 3 days I could not taste my vape and it was pure torture. I nearly smoked, but I upped my nicotine level to 24 and kept vaping.

I started off on a Nicotek Metro as a split decision because it was available at the convenience store. I upgraded to a V4L manual within the first week w/ refillable carts. It was a cheaper option w/ more flavor choices. Best idea ever! I love my juices way more than I liked the basic flavors offered by the Metro. Plus, it is fun to refill them and experimenting takes my mind completely off of analogs.

Welcome to vaping, I have been going for about 2 weeks now and agree that a lot of getting off the analogs is a head game. I didn't smoke analogs indoors, and have found that even after switching to vaping, and allowing myself to vape inside, that I still get 'cravings' that don't really go away until I get up, and go outside for a vape.

The first set of juices that I received were 12mg, and whole it would cut the craving it would not quite make them go away. A few days ago I got in some 24mg, and can tell already that my craving to sneak an analog in have all but disappeared. Keep with it and I'm sure eventually you will get there!

One more addition to this thread, in hopes that someone is still reading it: I sent an internet friend my old kit today, and before I did, I went through my juices again... Camel ejuice is not a WTA, but it comes from the same company. It's the closest thing I've found with a taste like a real burning cigarette. Here's the link: French Pipe E-Cigarette Refill It's only $6 for a sample, and if you like regular cigarettes as opposed to menthol, this is a good one. I had my GF try it, and she agreed.
Another good one to try is this: http://www.............com/gourmet-e-liquids/74-death-by-delicious-e-liquid.html I don't like "real" sweets or deserts, but after trying it, I ordered this one in a 30 ml bottle (with triple flavor, of course, since I still have the taste buds of a smoker). I hope this helps someone...
