I think that the KR808D-1 @ 3.7v packs a better wallop than an EGO @ 3.4v, so a bigger battery isn't always better in terms of vaping quality. It is inconvenient to have to carry multiple batteries but it didn't bother me much until I got close to the 2-year vaping mark.

I think that the voltage is more important than the size of the e-cig. I love 3.7v and higher because they simulate real smoking - to me.

No, it isn't always better. But I have seen many people post that they couldn't quit smoking entirely until they went to a high voltage device. You really can't do that without a mod.

Even though I was a long time smoker and smoked a lot, I was lucky I didn't have an issue quitting. I feel really bad for people that do. It's hard. I thought my mom would because she smoked for around 100 years (thankfully she doesn't read here) and she didn't have a problem. But it's tough for those that do.

I had a problem quitting initially, I think it was because I tried to smoke my e-cig like I would a cigarette, I thought that 2 minutes or so of puffing at it every hour or so would have the same affect on me as if I was smoking a normal cig.

I only manage to quit analogs when I changed a few things and I puff on it about every 10 minutes for about 30 seconds now :D

Also I found that any filler hurts my throat a lot, I switched to clearomizers and that made all the difference as well!

For me the pleasures of vaping far outweigh any pleasure that was derived from smoking, the flavors and the tactile feel of my Silver Bullet, even the eGos I started with, are much more enjoyable than those of any cigarette I ever smoked. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed smoking (smoked about 2 PAD for 36yrs or so) but that was b4 I tried vaping.:2cool:

For me, when I first began vaping with a cheap "Free Trial" eCig, I found that if I started my day off with an analog, the eCig had less, to little effect. So, once I got a serious PV I made sure to vape from it before hitting an analog, and that really did the trick. I had one day after a month of vaping that I tried a cigarette, and it was so weak in comparison to my PV that I tossed the entire pack after a few drags.

One thing that might help the transition is to use a high level of nicotine. Most "high" nic juices are @ 24mg/ml and that might not be enough for you to break away from analogs. I started with "super high" nic @ 36mg/ml and haven't wanted a "real" cigarette since. I'm going to stay at this level for a while longer & then mix down to 24mg/ml. If it doesn't really satisfy the urge, I'll bump up to ~30mg. Once I'm comfortable at the new level, then I'll mix down again. And so on, until I end up at 0 nic or whatever the lowest tolerable level is.

I grabbed a cig-sized Volt kit, and had fun with trying new juice flavors while weening myself. I didn't tell anyone. I did not want any pressure from anyone, not even myself.

After 3 or 4 weeks, I was smoking only after meals and before going to sleep, and vaping at other times. I would have been ok if that went on longer, until I was ready. Then one day, I guess I was ready - I missed a smoke after lunch because of meetings, chose to vape instead of smoke after dinner that evening, then suddenly it was bed time. All I had to do was vape instead of smoke before going to bed. I hit my Volt a few times, crawled into bed, and woke up an ex-smoker...first smoke free day in ~30 years.

Now I entertain/distract myself with milestones and juice variety. Can I make it two days? Yep. Can I make it a weekend? Yep. A week? Yep. Go to the store without buying a pack? Yep. I have dozens of 3ml juice samples. i try one two new ones every day.

Honestly, I would rather vape than smoke now. That blows my mind constantly.

If you're struggling, stop. Relax. Have a cig. Breathe. It's ok. Then try again tomorrow, or the day after.

I am in the same boat as most that posted here.

My Ego C was delivered 8 days ago. 4 days later I ordered a couple of 18650 Ego Mods.

Still having a cig a day. Been vaping 12mg but have ordered a load of 18mg juice that will come in over the next week. Hopefully that will be enough to drop that cig if not well I will have to order some 24mg.

The change from 20+ to 1 a day was immediate that is amazing. I smoked for over 30 years. Just one last hurdle to get over. If I do cool if I end up still having that 1 a day I can live with it but would rather not.

Here is the thing the one does not really taste that great compared to vaping. I will get over it lol

I'm using 24mg for everyday but keep a couple 36 mg in tobacco flavors and that seems to be working best for me and I was a heavy smoker until 2 months ago. The one I can't seem to kick is 1 or 2 when I wake up.

I used to beat myself up over smoking 1 or 5 a day when I started vaping. Gradually my body has gotten used to vaping to where I crave certain juices instead of cigs.

Biggest thing I would say is keep at it and relax if you smoke cigs still, use it to cut down when you can. Even if you only smoke 5 less than usual, it's still Progress! Start with that and keep trying different juices and volts till you find the one or in my case 4 that you just love and crave. That's when it becomes easy to quit.

At first I was so disappointed in myself, then I realized ANY change was good. You can always set yourself small goals too. First week, 1 pack plus vaping, the next week 10 analogs plus vaping, 5 the next week and so on.

One thing I did is hide my ashtrays from myself and lighters. If I had to get up and get a cig, I only took one and then put everything back. If I was watching a good movie, or got comfortable my lazy behind wouldn't want to get up. Lol So I just vaped like a mad woman instead. I keep my vaping stuff where I used to keep my ashtrays.

Just giving up completely on vaping ment I wasted money and I would have cancer again ( already had kidney cancer once). That was simply not an option in my mind.

I guess my point is to alter your thinking and realize, vaping is not smoking! But with the right attitude,
Vaping can be more satisfying than any cig you can think of.

I think a good 5 volt or variable watt model packs a better wallop than both of them combined, lol.
