Hello Modders and Fellow Vapers,
My name is Curtis and im about 9 months into living the vaping-Only Lifestyle. Like many folks Ive been reading about Ive been making rudimentary box mods and mods made from various everyday stuff like Plastic project boxes, flashlights, mint tins, etc. Ive gone so far as to install a voltage meter in the latest mod I made from scratch. Pretty nifty,to me anyway, but I'd like to up the ante a bit.
It has now occurred to me that I dislike having to open up my mod every day or two to retrieve my 18650 li-ion or 14500 batteries to recharge them as its a pain but it can also damage the device and Batts. taking them in and out. Plus Ive been trying to "pay my dues" so to speak by starting relatively simple and adding a new twist, however minor, to each mod I make.
HERE IS MY BIG QUESTION: can someone tell me if it is possible to construct or possibly buy a module which I can install in a homebuilt PV that I can then simply plug an AC to DC power supply into the mod in order to charge the battery in place without having to remove it? Im also interested in any similar info on making a variable voltage circuit to install in the same PV! I am definitely NOT an electrician but I suddenly became quite intrigued by the idea of building my own stuff from scratch! In addition to quitting smoking after 37 years and now being a disabled Vet I have a bit of time on my hands and would enjoy this as a hobby, but I need help from those of you "In the Know"! I did try to find this info in the archives but I guess I didnt ask the computer the right search keywords HAHA! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Sincerely,Curtis Lucksinger(USMC,Ret.) P.S. Im still pretty new here on ECF and hope Ive not posted this in the wrong spot. If so please accept my apologies.
