That recipe might be as easy to get as Coke's?

I'm currently using Vapers Tek's nicotine and I like it. I hear they have some good flavorings there too, but I haven't gotten around to trying them yet.

Tips? Do what I did. Be bold. Blaze your own trail. Then just before you get to the point of throwing all your supplies out a closed window, read a crapton of threads on this sub and find out why your first experiments were so horrible. Then go back to being bold and blazing a new trail, but better at learning from the horrible mixes I made...errr you'll make. Then making great juice is like fitting a dovetail. Impressive to those who don't, easy to those that screwed enough of them up till it became easy to make perfect.

Oh, and don't listen to me about mixing. I'm still just playing around with flavorings and stuff.

Essential depot has good vg/pg and there are several good sources for flavoring you just need to search the threads for recommendations. Here's one such thread

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...carries-all-your-favorite-brands-flavors.html

I would use 100mg NIC seeing that you vape 18-24. It will give you the best flexibility in how much flavoring you can use. Just make sure you know how to safely handle and mix it. Vapors tek NIC as mentioned is as good as I've had and highly recommended.

Here is some recommended reading

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

E-Cigarette Forum - Hoosier - Blogs

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

I would definitely say go with 100mg/ml strength but just be sure that you are fully informed on how to handle it before you open the bottle and start mixing. Always wear gloves and be very careful when handling.

My reason for going with 100mg/ml is that the bottle will last longer. I was paying $7.50 for 60ml of 48mg/ml nicotine liquid. I could have also purchased 100mg/ml in the same size for a little over $9 (these are the prices for the store near me, online may have much better deals). With the 48mg/ml liquid, I am using 2.1ml of nicotine per 10ml bottle to make my 10mg strength ejuice. If I were to use 100mg/ml nicotine I would only need to use 1ml per 10ml bottle to achieve the same strength. This should allow my nicotine liquid to last me twice as long and since 100mg/ml does not cost twice as much it will save money in the long run.

Where should you buy your nicotine from? There are multiple vendors that sell it and I myself do not even know who is best. I'd be interested in seeing some opinions on here regarding good quality nicotine to use as well.

Read, read, read, and then read some more.

Go through this sub forum and read about everyone getting into DIY, and see what people are telling them to do. See what you'll need, and what you wont need. Take notes, compare your notes, and read more. Get an idea of some recipes you'll like to tackle, and whats needed for those recipes, and place an order. See what mistakes people have made with their first handful of mixes, and avoid where they went wrong.

Taste your PG/VG alone and with nick so you know the taste of your base without extracts. Download and use the E-juice calculator to keep notes and recipes in. There is nothing worse than picking up a bottle of juice thats been steeping for a while and find its wonderful and has no label and you dont rember what you put in it. Anything you add tends to mute flavor. I try to stay away from the additives and just use base, sweetener and extracts and no more than .5% Em. Simple seems to be the best method I've found. Extracts vary greatly from brand to brand and even within brands. When wanting to order a extract ask around here and see what others have used for that and liked, it will save you lots of cash.

I found it useful to start with making a batch of unflavored. It's pretty hard to permanently mess that up, and you can use very small amounts of it to try out flavors. And as wallacecarey notes above, getting to know that taste is useful, because then you get a better idea what happens when you start adding flavors. And heck, I like my unflavored enough that I vape it as much as any of the flavored stuff. You can also play around with PG/VG ratios to see where your preferences lie in that regard with an unflavored batch, and again, you won't end up with something that cannot be used later (assuming you are not sensitive to PG or VG).
