Wanting to Know if Making Good Choices....

Right now I am using KangerTech EVOD with different flavored juices at 3 mg. I've been vaping for approximately four weeks, no regular cigs at all. I was a pack and a half a day Marlboro Medium smoker. I am enjoying vaping very much, I can breath better, have more energy, etc. I was thinking of upping the mg's to 6 or possibly 12. I tried an 18 mg. on a friends and it hurt and made me cough and gag. I also have a couple of friends that are using the iTaste VV V3.0 with Ce5 clearomizers. Any thoughts or advice would be most welcome!!!! Thank you!

I second @cdkas. I have had a long love affair with smoking, just enjoyed the act of smoking. I started off at 24 and am down to 6mg and going to cut down again soon, this was over the course of 2 years. Hang in there bud, find a juice you like and vape it. I am a big Alien Vision Juice fan and this is what has gotten me to stay away from cigs (even in vegas) my Boba Bounty or Gorilla Juice is so much more satisfying and tasty that i rather hit my e cig.

My question to you is this - if you are not smoking using such a low nic, why do you want to go up? Are you still craving? Or something else?

The iTaste VV's are great little batteries and are a good purchase.

I don't know a good deal about the CE clearo's except that most people find they are not the greatest atty's out there. IMHO you have a very good tank in the Evod. If you are looking to upgrade then you may want to look at getting yourself a mini nautilus or a mini aero tank. Both are solid little performers and I think you would be happy with either of those.

Hope this kind of answers your questions.

I started at 3 mg because I didn't know any different. I am very new to all this. There is so much info out there! I get no "throat hit" at 3 mg. I enjoy smoking, not really looking to quit, just trying to smoke "healthier" if that makes any sense! LOL! So, I guess what my real question is, what do I need to get a good throat hit and lots of vapor! That's it in a nutshell!

A good throat hit I believe would be upping the PG % & nic mg.. Are you satisfied with the 3mg juice?

There is no throat hit with 3 mg, so no I am not satisfied with it. I was going to get some juice at 6 mg and some at 12 mg. I tried 18 on a friends and it was way too strong. So the PG content has something to do with it too? Right now I am using Sutter Buttes Reserve, a 70/30 VG/PG blend.

Yes it does, I would suggest moving up to a 50/50 blend and go from there. Maybe bump up to a 6mg

Get a few 10ml bottles in different strengths.
You don't have to stick to 1 strength; maybe you feel for a higher strength in the morning, and lower at night.

Those evod type batteries will keep you going for another few months, but after maybe 3 to 6 months it's probably time to get a proper 18650 replaceable battery mod such as the
sid, svd, vamo, zmax

provari, vtr.

Meanwhile, for the tank, you could look at glass options, such as the miniprotank, or the aspire nautilus.
Is you evod a plastic tank, or is it the new evod glass tank? If it's glass then you're good.

Your tanks on something that is vv/vw would probably give you more of a throat hit. Do you know the ohms of your coils? 3mg with 2.0 ohms on a standard 3.7v battery is pretty tame. But as long as you are not craving analogs, keep doing what you're doing. But for me, it's more satisfying when I can feel the hit. I'm using 12mg in tanks and 6-12 in drippers. I like my itaste vv/vw but it doesn't last long since its small. Having multiple batteries is great since you have something to vape while the others are charging.

Some of us never do have any desire to get a "proper" removable battery device. :D Variable voltage and wattage are good to have, though. The VV v3 is great, but doesn't go a long time between charges. The MVP 2 is great, but fairly large (and can be hard to use if you have hand problems. The MVP 3 will be out soon, now, but we don't know a lot of specifics yet. Some people really love the Eleaf iStick, but it has some power regulation issues, especially for people who like a lower wattage/voltage vape.

There are a lot of choices for toppers, and it is probably best to try one each of some different styles. Protanks, Evods (regular) and Davides are all bottom single coil. Some people really like dual coil, though I'm not one of them. Aerotanks and the new glass Evods fall in that category. There are also top coil options, cartos and carto tanks and the Nautilus. They all have different characteristics and their own fan clubs.
