WARNING: Old extended caps dont fit new Provari

Just got my new Provari, version 2.5 I guess. i didn't order another extended end cap because I thought I could just switch the one from my original version. But Nooooo! Different threading on the new version, so I had to order a new extender as well. Bummed....

Before anyone panics, only the first couple of runs of the original V1 ProVari's had different threading. Later V1's, V2's and V2.5's share the same threading. Am I wrong in thinking this? I have a V1 ProVari and the Collector's Edition Caps and the Twins extension tube for the ProVari Mini all fit on it.

Was your ProVari one from one of the original runs?

I have a v1 that is a little over a year old and the extension cap that I ordered for it works fine with my v2's.
