Me and my family just took a trip to Canada to visit some family. We all got into Canada without a hitch, no search or anything. Coming back into the states was a different story. Nothing but your wallet and passport can leave the car during the search. I was more worried about my camera case of juice and carto's than i was my USB Sit or Go passthru.

After sitting in a sub zero waiting room for an hour and a half, we go back into the car and there still sits my case of juice and supplies. Not a word about any of it. A half hour goes by and I'm ready for a vape. And low and behold, my passthru battery and carto is GONE. I was using a 510 passthru with an adapter for 808 carto's because those are all i had left. But alas, it was MIA. Had extra 510 bats but again, my adapter was on the passthru. So it was 6 hours of driving home with no PV.

Just keep an eye on your stuff when crossing back into the US by car. I still have no idea why i wasn't at least questioned about the juice. My case didn't even look opened. Had there been illegal drugs in there, they would have made it across the border. Still sucks i lost my passthrough. Good luck to anybody else in this situation.

Just to clarify, was it US customs that did the search or Canada customs?
If going into the US I would think it would have been US customs doing the search.

It was US customs when we were coming back into the states. We didn't even get searched by Canadian customs when entering Canada.

Thanks for the clarification, sorry about the loss of your equipment. I thought about how rough it would be to go without my PV in similar circumstances and wouldn't be nice I am sure.

Sorry to hear about your missing/stolen passthru battery and carto. It is ashame you have to worry about things being stolen when going through customs. I have not been to Canada in couple years, but do they always make you go into a waiting room when they search your car?

When coming back into the US from canada, yes. Everyone goes into the waiting room when your car is searched. If your parked in the right spot, you may be able to see your car through the windows though. I could see mine. It was terrible watching someone go through all your stuff though.

Things have changed. Last time I was there they asked several questions such as my purpose of being in Canada, if I was carrying anything illegal, etc... that was IT, and I drove right through.

That's all they did when me and my family actually entered Canada. The problems started when we tried to get back into our own country.

OH, just found out today. We had a half a bottle of Canadian Whiskey that my mom wanted to bring back home with us. Unknown to me, it was hidden in a bag of clothes in our trunk. So not only did they not find my E-Juice and question me about that but they also didn't find the open bottle of Whiskey in the trunk. Great border patrol we got here on the US side.
