You can get decent prices for RDAs if you go the clone route. If you do go the clone route, I recommend Infinite. The TOBH Atty V2 rda is pretty badass and easy to build on, and you can get an Infinite clone of this rda for around $20-$30 if you do some google searching. As for batteries, I would get the Sony VTC4s - 18650, 2100mah, 30 amp continous discharge rate. For the charger, I have an Efest LUC S2 two bay smart charger and it works very well. As others have said, if you're getting into rebuildables, purchase an ohm reader so your know the resistance of your builds.

I guess what I'm hearing here is buy something, build it, and see what I think lol. Highly personal thing it seems.
Yeah, pretty much. Buy a couple drippers, a couple of tanks, and a couple of different styles of mods. For starting out, you should start with clones, just to keep initial costs low. Whatever you don't keep, you can pass on to others, like the guy at the vape bar did for you.

Good Drippers: Veritas, Magma, Tobh
Good Tanks: Kayfun Lite V2, Heron, Orchid, Aqua V2
Good Mods: Nemesis, GP PAPS, LPG (Le Petit Gros), Dominus Fecit, Launcher V2

Edit: Most of the above I have, and those I don't are pretty well regarded by the vape community.
