I forgot I left my battery in my backyard and, ofcourse, the weather decides to rain..a lot. So when I found my battery (its a manual) it looked fine but when I press the button the LED stays on even after I let go of the button. It goes off randomly anywhere from 5 seconds to 1 minute later. Is there anywhere I can dry out the battery and not harm it? I'd hate to waste money when I just bought a new battery

Hi Cold--

This has long been reported here on the forum by many Members. One Member lost his in the snow and found it a week later only for it to eventually work.

The key here is indeed to get the mosture out. If you employ the use of a blow dryer and warm it, the water should evaporate off the contacts and leads and hopefully the battery will then be able to take a charge.

Be careful with that blow dryer as it can get metal very hot awful quick. Set it to low and only allow it to get warm. Be safe and not sorry!!

Hope that helps!!
