That's good too. Yeah...we're cool. I'm just "conversing". :)

Here's some threads where people claim it's "mostly water vapor". Not to be "correct" or anything, it's just the I've heard it before and you will too. I seriously doubt it is that high of a water vapor percentage but it may be. Seems like there was a study of it being less that 50% of the exhaled stuffis.

etc.

You can google (with the quotes included) "mostly water vapor" site:ww.e-cigarette-forum.com

one vendor even claimed it was 99% water.

there is a test somewhere. I'll see if I can find it. TomCatt and I were discussing it a while back. I'll go digging.

Wow, I could be reading for hours. Better to just concede the win and stick with "not smoke." Thanks Pops!

NP. Although no concessions necessary nor are there any "wins" other than we vapers sticking together and trying to get good info out there. There's so much bad stuff, some outright lies, and we all fall victim to it too.

"not smoke" works for me! :)

An ambiguous statement for me covers all the bases. "mostly" just about covers it. It already implies by definition that there are other added ingredients. Mostly harmless has been touted by many but it is not all encompassing. Who knows what allergies some people have and what seams harmless to most may be toxic to others. Like attypops says. It's not really vapor either but the term is used ambiguously throughout the vaping community. I think therefore when somebody says that the stuff we exhale is mostly water vapor I think we can take it as read that where the term "mostly" is used it already implies that there are other ingredients., but you wouldn't go as far to give a chemical composition of the PG/VG mix, nicotine, flavourings, colourings, vodka and any of the other weird and wonderful ingredients we use. The chemical analysis would look something like a quantum mechanics formula. Therefor in answering a general question about the contents of exhaled vapor by saying "mostly water" you can be excused for not being exact.
I myself do not take anything at face value myself, and i can see why you would want to understand the nature of exhaled vapor and the effect it may have on others.
Questioning the status-quo of given explanations doesn't make you over careful or too curious. It just means that you are concerned for the welfare of yourself and that of others and that in itself should be applauded

Nope, not touchy, just accurate. Understanding the difference between combustion and vaporization is the whole point.

But you will find that vapers tend to have a knowledge level about these kinds of things (as well as Ohm's Law, and the like) that will surprise you...

My momma never set fire to a jar of Vick's Vapo-Rub when I was a kid with 'the croup' (as it was called way back then). She put it in a 'vaporizer' and I breathed the 'steam/vapor.'
