Hello, So I vape a Provari with a Aspire Nautlius 1.7 Dual coil
When I vape on 3.7 volts which is about 8 watts after a little time I get some tightness in my chest I have lowered it a little at a time and finally at 3.2 volts which is about 6 watts I don't feel the pain in my chest I use Halo Tibecca at 24 mg ,Bobas Bounty at 24 mg and Heathers Heaveny Vapes Legend at 24mg also
My issue is at the 3.2 volts I don't get the cloud I get at 3.7 volts
Any suggestions on what might be the issue I really like the throat hit and cloud at 3.7 volts but due to the chest pain I'm stuck at 3.2
Thank you for any suggestions

Any suggestions on what to lower the nic too?
Maybe 18 then try 8 watts ?

Yes :)
Try it and find out if it suites you.

I get 'chest pains' if I chainvape a lot..like 15 puffs at once. This is due to the nicotine. At Zero Nic I can chainvape till my tank runs dry.

Yep! as a huge Halo Tribeca fan as well, I can tell you that Halo juices "are higher in PG than VG" according to the many times it's been asked on here. Halo will not divulge their mix ratio claiming "proprietary secrets" which really sends some people over the top. Personally, I could care less....I love it...I buy it...I vape it! Just letting you know that their PG is "well above" 50%. Some can't tolerate PG as well (more throat hit etc)....if you can and, like me, it's your ADV, try dropping to 18 or even mixing 18 and 24 to get about 20 and upping your Watts. Good luck, Vape On!

An inexpensive option... pick up a bottle of vegetable glycerin (labeled as just Glycerin) at Walmart or CVS in the first aid area. It's less than $4 a bottle.

Wash out an empty juice bottle. Put in 5ml of your favorite juice and then add 5ml of the VG. If you're using 24mg nicotine... you'll now have 12mg with a much higher VG base.

Try it and see if the chest tightness goes away.

I did try high PG and high VG, both bring me uncomfortable feelings. Also high nicotine. I come to the point 50/50 and 12 (i did use 24 at the begging and it was harsh). My in laws did vape 24mg nicotine and complain a lot, after i did share my experience hi went at 12 ml and seems hi is more comfortable. Now i DIY almost all my juice and i'm about 8-10 mg and cannot be better.

Hope it helps. Good luck.

Honestly it might have nothing to do with the nic. I was actually using Halo's Tribecca for a while and it was my all-time favorite vape. It was giving me SEVERE tooth pain and sinus issues and jaw tightness and I still have no idea why. I switched to some different flavors and the problem is no longer there. You may be having an allergic reaction to some of the flavoring in your juices. You may only think that lowering the voltage is helping but you may come to find that your symptoms just disappeared for a little while.

I recommend getting some different flavors, like fruit flavors and see if these types of flavoring cause less issue. I know I have issues with many Tobacco vapes but some don't give me any problems. This may not be the issue at all but hopefully this will give you an idea of what the problem could be.

EDIT: Also, I would highly recommend getting some 18mg juices. I know when I was using cartos I was using 24mg juice to get a throat hit but once I moved up to higher end clearos like the Nautilus or Aerotank I dropped down to 18mg and it was basically the same throat hit. Nicotine does effect blood flow and that could be part of the reason you are getting a feeling in your chest. It more than likely has to do with the flavoring or PG/VG but either way you should always have some lower nic juice so that you can eventually give it a try if the 24mg is turning out to be too much to handle. I am down to 12mg juice on a dripper so if you move to dripping or rebuildables I would recommend going as low as 12mg because I started out at 24mg as well.

Hi there, any time a person gets chest pain it's best to be on the safe side and visit your doctor to be certain nothing else is going on, like a infection or anything. I say this because i myself have some serious lung problems and i can vape up to 20 watts without having any issues at 50 50 pg vg, and 24 mg nicotine. The chest pain makes me think you might have something going on your not aware of in the lungs like a small infection. I know everyone is different and sensativity levels are different for everyone, but to be on the safe side, you might consider seeing your doctor to rule out any physical issue you might be having. Once that's ruled out first, then you can find what exactly your having the reaction too. I just want the best for you and it's always better safe than sorry. So i would rule out any physical cause first. Then second look into a sensitivity issue. Just to know that you are alright physically. I hope this helps. Chest pain is and can be a physical sign so please be cautious and just rule out any health issues that may be causing this. I wish you the very best and hope this helps.

High settings are simply too harsh for me. Even if it's not "harsh" it's too something and I get a sore throat, if I push it too far my lungs start to hurt. Even with dual coils where each coil is my usual coil and doing the math so each coil gets enough but not too much it gets to be too much and I turn it down.

I like higher ohms and lower volts usually. Just because everyone else likes something doesn't mean you have to.
A lot of people liked Winston and they always gave me a raw throat.

2Ω coils, >4v. Sometimes as low as 3.2v.
It has been like this since eGo-C (complete), eGo batteries - including Twist with Protank/Vivi-Nova, Vamo/SVD/eVic/VTR with gennies.
I have some drippers that I found taste better around 1.5Ω-1.8Ω but I don't use them often or take many puffs when I do. One is a dual 1Ω (two 2Ω coils) that I don't use much. I really don't like mechs with a fresh battery.

And a lot of flavor loss.
1/2ing is bad enough, VG mutes flavor as is.

I vape up to 12mg, started at 18mg. On my Drippers, I vape 3mg.
Quad coils, .67ohm, 2x 3mm air holes:D

Purchase your preferred Vape in the lowest available MG, even -0- then you can mix ratios and fine what you like best.
1/4(0) = 18mg
1/2(0) = 12mg
3/4(0) = 6mg
3/8(0) = 3mg

First off, remember that on a dual coil, each coil is getting half the total wattage. So at 3.7, you're only seeing 4 watts per coil... which is quite low in my opinion, but YMMV. But this is why you're seeing such a big drop off in vapor when you set to 3.2... you're looking at 3watts per coil. I think most would agree that's not a very enjoyable vape...

I'd try all of the suggestions above in this order to try to isolate the issue: First off, i'd try vaping pure VG and pure PG separately. I'd also up your volts to around 4.6v or close to it.. this will yield about a 12watt vape (but only 6watts per coil). You should NOT experience any discomfort unless you have an issue with PG or VG... Thus you may have found the culprit.

If you're able to vape the pure VG and PG comfortably, then the Nic is likely your culprit and you can try cutting your juice... a good place to start would be just to half it and get to 12mg as noted above. Flavor will be reduced also... but this will give you a pretty good idea of what mg is good for you. Also note, if you cut 24mg with 12mg of the same flavor.... 50/50... you'll end up with a batch of 18mg. So if you end up finding that the 24mg is the culprit, you can always order lower nic mg of the same flavors to cut it with so your 24mg juice isn't wasted.

I was a 1-2PAD smoker of Marlboro reds and found 24mg a bit overwhelming... 18mg was where i quickly settled...I couldn't handle the 24mg.... a buddy of mine smoked lights and found his preferred nic at 12mg. Throat Hit will increase with Nic, I know that 24mg just felt harsh at every level for me... Throat hit, chest tightness, dizziness.. the whole nine yards. YMMV, but lowering nic is a pretty good place to start
