I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, so I'm posting it here. I just bought a Hcigar Kracken RBA about a week ago. I built my SS wick, loaded up some juice, vaped..... and it tasted "waxy" (no other way to describe it). I have the same juice in my Kayfun 3.1 and it tastes fine, so I know it's not the juice. OH WAIT! silly me, I should probably wash any oily residue out of it from machining it (incase the factory didn't do a good job). Ok... let it sit for about 24 hrs in some LIGHTLY soapy water (Dawn). Took an old toothbrush, gave it a little TLC, rinsed it in some heated distilled water. Let it dry about another 24 hrs. Rebuilt my wick, loaded up my juice (same juice) and vaped... STILL WAXY! I'm at wits end. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I'm thinking it's my Kracken, but I wouldn't know why.

Only thing left at that point is;

A: Something you missed. Some blind hole, screw threads, etc where gunk still lives...

B: O-rings. I swear I'm going to soak all my 'new' O-rings in some plain VG for a few days before using anything 'new' because I can smell the damn rubber / silicone on the new atty's and it messes with me. Maybe I'll just soak them in menthol. I hate that stupid smell.

I've run an atty that wasn't clean enough and I can smell / taste the machine oil. That sucks. Never anything waxy. Unless TO YOU waxy is machine oil.

Depends on your exposure / type. I've found a heavy black grease in the last batch of R91% clones I purchased. It's in the air adjustment screw channel. (Blind hole) Same on both. Caked inside. Filthy. Yuck...
