This has probably been posted before but, I know a lot of people read this forum before they buy a starter kit.

Please do a little research before u buy. Me and mother made impulse purchases while at Myrtle Beach this year. We both wanted to quit smoking and had tried cigalikes so we decided an ego type would be a good purchase. What we didn't do was research and paid 60 bucks for a starter kit from a smoke shop there. This kit included 1) 600 mah no branded ego, 1 disposal clearomizer and a charger.

You can get a much better set up for cheaper. We would just like people to learn from our mistake.

Elfland, everywhere, USA
then give them this link

PennyVaper.com

and point out the MVP 2.0 is 40 bucks, and protank II minis are about 12, plus shipping

then its all a matter of juice...and then learning how to rebuild heads

none of this stuff is going to last forever (or us) but a modest purchase can let someone quit cigs, so thats worth every penny.

yes it blows to overspend and it pays to shop - I know I like to find something good for as low as I can possibly find it.

but I wont sacrifice quality to save a buck. I also dont really feel like supporting someone trying to just cash in on the vaping movement. its not a fad or a phase of folks' behavior, its a movement and we need folks to be as informed as possible about this, so that they in turn can effectively share what they know - and to point out information thats crap - cuz the ANTZ spread all the bad info they can to hurt vaping.

so give folks that link ;-)

there are others too but thats a nice start.

Yep, I'm sure glad I found ECF before I started buying anything. I've spent about $165 on gear so far but I got:

Two evods, two evod batteries, two chargers, one charger adapter, three protank II minis, an ego-c twist, a protank II, an MVP 2, fifteen spare heads not including all the ones that came with the tanks, coils, wicks, a spare drip tip . . . lol . . . probably some more I can't think of, long story short I got my money's worth.

Bad news CJ..you owe me $5 worth of doughnuts...you all do. Its a rule. I made it up so no changing it now.

so thats $120 :p

hmm I think ive spent 200 bucks but that includes a lot of juice - my basic kanger evod kit (two batts, two Pt2minis, charger) was bout 60 beans.

oh and tools and crap to rebuild coils, and Kanthal and silica (which I probably wont even use now).

And peas. For the Llama.

2 mech mods, 3 RBA attys, 2 ego 1200MaH, a VAMO v2, Sigelei Vmax V5, 2 protank 2's, 4 DCT tanks, not including juice....

I actually updated it to $165 after I thought about it, but still, that's about two starter kits at the rip off joints. And don't get me started about juice, I didn't include THAT. That's probably another $50 or so at least. How about a donut flavored juice instead?

I wish I had went to a shop with some knowledgeable people when I first started. After buying a couple ego's and kanger pro tanks I could have just gone straight to mechanicals and buildables that I have and love now!

DIY Juices are so much more cost effective and you can adjust for your own personal preferences, there are a few E-juices out there I still buy though couple of my go to flavors are hard to beat.

CE4-65K 650mAh Electronic Cigarette with CE4 Single Cotton Wick Clearomizer - Black

Most new vapers can't wait for something to come in and will spend crazy money for new kits, I spent over $150 for an eGo kit and juice at my local B&M :/ I give these kits and make them join ECF. When they come asking for MORE vape gear and juice after that I tell them that I've done my part.

I would give you a dollar just to record your review on it... and the look on your face when its not what you expected!

I will have to do it myself to make it what I would expect it to be. My plans to make my own juice just keep swimming around in my mind. I'm sure once I finally go at it, I'll go at it like a madman and save a ton of cash.

Wow that's criminal! ...and not even a charger cable? Were you supposed to go buy another battery after six hours when it was dead? I was feeling a little bad when I first bought 2 Evod batteries, 2 Evod Clearos, a charger cable (without wall plug) and 10ml of juice for $67 (tax included at least) from a local B&M.

Yep, that's a lot, bought the same thing for about $35.
