This might not be the right thread for this, but I found an interesting article today on how to cut your cancer risks.

Study: Change Lifestyle, Cut Cancer Risk - CBS News

We all know that cutting smoking is a great way to reduce your cancer risks, but wow! They are saying out loud that leading a less, obese lifestyle will also help.

We have given up smoking and now we have to starve ouselves and run to the gym everyday. I would give up drinking but I don't drink. I should have died from cancer 20 years ago because I use sweet and Low all time.

They really need to do more on Genetics before thay make broads statements.

I guess I could want to live to be a 100 and live the last 15 years in a nursing home. There are some exceptions of course, but for the most part getting old means going to a nursing home unless your rich.

I use to go to nursing homes when I was a Social Worker, I can tell you it is a real exciting life, if you could call it life.

My parents owned one and I worked as a nurses aide to fill water, make beds, hang out, take people to dinner. I made my decision then that the body I was given was going to last until it did and until then, I was going to be as safe and reckless as I possibly could.

I hope I make it through all of the events in my daughters life... but then again, I would rather leave her before she leaves me

My husband and I are at that stage in life that we need to enjoy what we do, because life is getting shorter and the nursing home closer. He keeps wanting to save for his old age. I keep telling he he is there now, today. He is 12 3/4 years older than I am. It has become a joke between us and we get a few laughts out of it.

Parents should aways leave this world before their children, but sadly this is not always true. When your 90 and your daugher is 70 she will still be your baby.
