Okay so being a soon to be nursing student I've been researching about lung cancer because I smoked about 1 year and I wanna reduce my chances of getting lung cancer.

so I found an article talking about how "inflammation may be a risk of cancer."

the topic which was back in 2002 said that many types of cancer become present more often with the presence of chronic inflammation.

now I have heard that e-liquid causes inflammation, if this is true could this possibly increase the risk of lung cancer? I'm not saying its a direct cause, but it could maybe increase the risk of getting it in the future.

also the use of Cox-2 Inhibitors have in 1 study shown major slash in lung cancer risk.
and furthermore in this study Ibuprofen and aspirin have shown to reduce the risk of lung cancer up to 1/3.

what are your thoughts on this? I know this study was old but since the breakthrough of e-cigarettes, I believe this is relevant once again?

please let me know what you think, especially any medical professionals!!
