First, The original wick for the iAtty was fiberglass. This chart was from that time.
Second, the iAtty was a new idea never imagined before.
All of us who had an iAtty were trying lots of different ideas that we had never been able to imagine until then. Different wick materials, coils, resistance wires, you name it, it got posted.
Some one came up with this chart to illustrate all these different techniques.

Having 2 wicks going all the way down provides you with 4 points of suction. in Ody and Penelope it is not possible sine you have only 2 channels going down. However in Iatty I think you can make it work since you have multiple channels. I don't have an Iatty just guessing.

I totally agree soda, Ariel did a great work here. He spend too much time to collect all the info about coils and he gave the oportunity to all of us to stop searching old threads to find what we need

Also thanks to serpent we can see in a diagram all the possible coils for Iatty, penny and Ody

Ah thanks guys. So then what would the difference be between having just a basic one-wick setup and having an extra piece of wick (or 2) under the coils (cut to the ceramic size)? Is that to help with dry hits by having an extra wick to serve as a sort of reservoir? Or is it more surface area = more vapor sort of thing?

It's probably because you confuse him with sodapopinski who's an older member. I had the same problem
