Why is HC harassing small businesses who are selling things that are intended to save lives...

meanwhile,

they leave the big companies that pump tons of toxins into the air alone to do their things..

I am convinced that if we started to attack HC with proof of their incompetence in the public eye with peaceful protests and whatnot, they would find themselves having to do something about it...

we should go to parts of the country where there are people dying because of the polutants that are being pumped into the air, find some people who are dying because of them and showcase them as our example of what HC should be doing instead of wasting our tax dollars harrassing us.

Well the natives are already suing the Ontario ministry of environment over it. They are the hardest hit and are even having reproductive problems because of all the chemicals. Human Rights and Pollution in Sarnia's Chemical Valley — Ecojustice (formerly Sierra Legal Defence Fund)

There have been numerous studies on the pollution here. Everything seems to get swept under the rug.

After a rain it's common to smell sulfur in the air. I always felt the government were hypocrites with their smoking bans. Now they seem even bigger hypocrites to me.

Ian, do you know for sure large companies pay HC?

The conditions in Sarnia start to sound like you need hire Erin Brockovich for representation!

But maybe there is an angle in formally petitioning with a civil suit and citing air/water pollution that HC is ineffectively not regulating. The thing with pairing smoking bans and air pollution to show hypocracy is usually not considered in civil suits due to tobacco being so obviously harmful, but pairing HC action on e-cigarettes and air pollution would something different.

The situation hasn't happened before unlike smoking bans which has been going on for decades and nobody challanges the bans (due to tobacco being obviously bad).
