We need new batteries something fierce. We have the iTaste vv and they're dying. Because of some of the issues with the iTaste I'm not really interested in buying one again unless they've fixed the problem we had. They tend to overheat while charging, sometimes even discharging while charging due to overheating. We tried the eLeaf mini, and it hasn't worked out. The first set was screwy on how they held the charge, they'd drop down a lot just after one hit. But then we'd plug them in and they'd charge up to full in a few minutes. Didn't even last 12 hours with moderate use, reviews stated they could last 3 days. Got replacements. One is doing the same thing as the first set and the other one doesn't work at all. After more research I've found that I don't want to buy an eLeaf again, they're known for inconsistent quality, I didn't find this out before I purchased. I'd prefer something lightweight, but it's not a must.

Here's what we need:

510 connection- must be able to use Protank II tanks

USB charging

Prefer vv that goes up to at least 5 volts, but it doesn't need to be really high voltage

Not sub-ohm- we vape 24 mg juice, so this is not something we can use. We are not interested in switching to lower nicotine juice.

Preferably under $50

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello lilith79, I'd probably say that you'd be better using 18650 batteries with an external charger. This allows you to use the device while batteries are on charge, plus you can carry spare fully charged batteries in a case when you are out and about. It also doesn't stress the electronics and when batteries lose their ability to hold a charge all you have to do is get new batteries.

But don't know exactly where you are in the world, but you can still find Innokin iTaste SVD 2.0 Evolv DNA chipset mods (it's Variable Wattage, but a decent chipset and looks extremely well built). Here's a link, don't know how many are available though.
