..and I made it uphill without getting winded! I cannot believe how much better I feel in such a short period of time. Makes my worries about getting in shape for the tougher DOT physical guidelines not so scary:) AND cotton candy eliquid is a good substitute for my evening nibblies:laugh: Anyone else start exercising more after quitting the smokes? Ok, off to work! Have a great day everyone!

Before i ended up getting das boot i used to play football (y'know, proper football ;) ) with the lads i used to work with, started playing when i smoked, a couple of weeks later after taking up vaping i could run better than ever, asthma didn't get in the way of that perfect shot on goal and i could keep up with the lads that had been playing for years :D i should join a team again

In from night #2 walking! It was a perfect evening for it here... tomorrow night it might be rainy so I didn't want to skip tonight and I went up an even steeper hill! Its very freeing:) Our youngest DD tagged along too:) And yeah I'm hoping satisfying the sweet tooth with sweet ejuice will keep me from gaining weight. I need to LOSE weight LOL but dang Oreos taste SO MUCH BETTER. I'm so happy I listened to my husband and gave vaping a chance. Honestly I felt like I would never get free of the smokes and I have. He is being very supportive about me and walking and getting healthier all around. :D

Congrats!!
I have been vaping for almost a year now. By all means, work out!! After turning to vaping, I felt much, much better in a matter of weeks. I have been on a formal workout regimen now for about 5 months, 3 times per week minimum, and it just keeps getting better and better. I started slowly and with my doc's OK, which I highly recommend. Almost time for the mountain bike again........can hardly wait.

My doctor will be thrilled I started walking again.. I pretty much gave up while caring for one of our elders in her end days. I got pretty down for a while. It feels good to be moving again:) I'm not too worried.. I lost the weight before I can lose half. Positive thinking. But the not smoking??? Wow... I am still so amazed how GOOD I feel! Every single day it gets better.

I'm so happy to hear that vaping is going well for you. I've had the same positive experience and feel great. I've always been one of those slender people who never gains weight (family genetics, don't hate me, lol.) I didn't get out of breath with activity, but I had a horrible morning cough that really worried me for the last few years. After I coughed for a while and then got upright, I was pretty much okay, but mornings were really bad.

In the first week of vaping and not smoking, that awful cough disappeared - just like that. It was gone. I am amazed and very grateful I found vaping when I did.

I know! My cough is gone too! Over the past couple weeks I would cough and it would actually be productive. And now I wake up in the morning, no cough. Its really nice, for sure!

I quit smoking the same day I had ACL surgery. I had lots of swelling and lots of pain, didn't walk around much for 2 months. The leg i had my surgery on shrunk down to nothing, and my good leg was not that far behind. Although I started physical therapy in November, I wasn't able to really work it in till mid January. Besides my physical therapy I've been riding the bike 4 times a week. For the first time since I can remember my muscles give out way before my lungs do. Monday I rode the bike for an hour and went 15 miles. Today I worked the elliptical for 25 min, the last 5 my heart rate was 175. I was tiered but not gasping for air, it felt great. I'm so happy I found vaping.

I can't wait to start running again. Mind you, I never smoked before when I ran, except once last month, I thought I was going to die. My lungs and chest muscles burned so bad I thought they were going to explode and I felt sick for a week. I have noticed that my muscles have been slightly more sore recently, I wonder if it's build up of lactic acid from PG?

OK, you got us there. American football requires very little "footballing" except for the kick offs and extra points, which is like 3% of the game. Why we couldn't come up with our own name for our own game is beyond me.

I'm amazed a year later how quick my cough cleared up. Within a week of switching to just vaping, my cough was gone and my chest was clearer.

I think it's got more to do with the potential you unlocked when you ditched the stinkies :D Your body's not used to being so badass and it's a bit over excited

I cycled this time last year to work and back which was ten miles in the morning then in the evening i'd do another ten along the bicycle path along the river for leisure, aint going to lie it was hard I was still smoking back then, now winter has passed i'm back out on the bike again and damn, such an improvement in stamina and just being able to breathe whilst cycling. It's nice especially when it really benefits something you passionate about. I'm not going to miss those days where my chest was tight and coughing my guts up whilst riding
