I am a new vaper as of a month or so ago and I am currently using a provari mini. I am finding that I am not getting a satisfying vapor from it. I am currently using Pink Spot and a bella tank with boge cartos. 3.0 ohms. I am keeping it at 5 volts. I think I listed everything that I could attribute to the vapor. Please let me know if you think a weaker vapor or not as satisfying vapor is common in comparison to a lot of the mech mods I am seeing out there. Usually I see them with bottom coils or single coil atomizers.
Your help is appreciated.
thank you in advance.

I love Pink Spot at around 7 watts on any device I've tried, so I'm surprised you're not getting a good vape at over 8 watts. Have you checked the output of your ProVari using a multimeter? Also, what are you comparing the vape to? Have you ever used a device like the eGo Twist? You were recommending the ProVari in another thread just a few days ago - has something changed or have you always been disappointed with it?

as for a first mod, it is everything I could hope for. I get a good throat hit and as for easy you cannot beat it. I just today noticed that I was not getting the same vapor I am seeing on a lot of u tube videos. ( I have been trying to learn as much as I can about cartos, mods and accessories, new toy and new hobby!) I love pink spot and just ordered a big bottle of it. I am just confused right now.

btw, thanks for the nice way you asked about my recommending it one day and now this. You could have been a D about and tried to call a new guy out.

Be aware that what might appear to be incredible clouds of vapor on a video are really just normal vapor in person. Camera angles and lighting tend to exagerate what you think you are seeing. Notice that they usually blow the vapor directly into the camera lens? Don't be fooled.

Having said that, your tank may not be properly set up to ideal. There is a learning curve to cartotanks and nothing beats proper filling technique, vaping technique, and experience.

Not knowing your vaping technique, pay attention to the way you draw on your tank. Slow, deliberate, patient draws of 3 - 6 seconds in length work best. Think of sucking on a straw in a thick milkshake.

As for the other methodology, take a look see at my cartotank tutorial in my blog: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Haha! No problem - I was just wondering if the performance had dropped off suddenly (which would have indicated a problem with the device itself). I like to think we're a pretty decent bunch round here and I don't think you'll come across many people who'll pick on you just because you're new to vaping and/or the Forum!

Videos on YouTube can be a bit misleading when it comes to vapour production. A lot of reviewers will blow vapour right at the camera which makes it look a lot thicker/fuller than it actually is. Some reviewers also don't inhale, and that makes a really big difference!

What's your technique like? Are you trying to hit the carto the same way you smoked a cigarette? The way I vape is completely different to the way I used to smoke - I tend to hold the vapour in my mouth for a couple of seconds and then inhale, which significantly reduces the amount of vapour but gives me a better buzz.

EDIT: beaten to it by Baditude! Again! Also, just seen your last post - glad you figured out what the problem was!
