So, it has been a little over week and it is going really well (not great yet though). On day 7 the wife and I tried an analog, still had a few in the house. Ugh, went into the trash! I was using that nasty thing?!?

There is still so much to figure out. I do have a few questions for those more experienced (which would likely be any of you. I will give you an idea of where I am at….

I started off with an EGO 510 kit and really like it compared to what I had tried. Yesterday I almost bought a LT VV mod. Started reading a thread and got very lost in the 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 versions and which was which. I was about to pull the trigger but as I read more I found that the 3.0 version was really a 2.0 and that the 1.5 had serious problems (I think that is right). I went back to looking at the Provari and pulled back thinking jumping in that deep that fast was a bit much. I got a drip tip in, aluminum, and I have to say I don’t care for it much. It gets warm/hot quickly. It is not major problem, but it does point out that I need to figure out what works for me (and my wife) before I spend a bunch of money. I am sure it is a great device but I hardly know what I am doing now so I have no base to compare from. Anyway, I needed a few extra batteries so I went with the EGO Twist. I will see how that goes first.

I am looking at various different delivery systems (cartos, tanks, clearomizers, etc.) and trying to figure out what is what. I ordered a Clearomizer (V2) (1.8 – 2.0 ohm) and got it today. Wow that baby rocks . Better for me than dripping which I was mostly doing. Each time I try to step up its major and major fun! I also ordered a smok Tech Dual Coil 2.0 ohm and Boge 510 2.0 ohm cartomizers yesterday.

So, for my questions:

For the Twists, should I order something in the 3.0 ohm range? From reading it seems like the lower ohm units top out performance and the higher ohm units perform better at higher voltages. But for a beginner will it make that much difference?

I am interested in trying a tank, but not sure which one. Again, stuck on the 2.0 vs. 3.0 ohm decisions.

Any suggestions here are appreciated. So many options I am not sure what to try.

Love my ego t type b tank ... Tanks are the only way to go for me. My wife, and friends all also love tanks for on the go. You may like "dripping" at home if you like switching flavors.

My suggestion: Go ahead and buy one tank system, one clearomizer, one cart, one drip ti/atty. Try them all out to see which you like the best. Cant tell you which youll like the best because everyone is looking for something different. Hope that helps my friend! Congrats on quitting cigs ... their no good anyways.

As for the ohm issue I cant say because I dont mess with any vv stuff.

Somewhere out there
Congrats :toast: If you got the Twist I think you will like it, gives you chance to play with VV vaping. If you get low resistance cartos you will vape at a lower volt, if you get higher resistance like 3 ohm, SR cartos you will vape at higher volts. I have done both on the Twist, both work. If you have found a clearo you like that is great, I say vape it for awhile and see how it works and if you are not satisfied then go looking for something better, different etc. Have fun! bnrk

I also chucked my analogs after about 10 days. I'm using an Ego battery with the V2 Clearomizer also, I tried the 2.1 - 2.4 and the 2.5 - 2.9. liked them so much I ordered 4 more of the 2.5 - 2.9. The only thing I don't like is the fluid gets dark after a time. I usually clean mine after about 3 days (I vape heavily). Is this too often and what about dry burning, is it ok, or will it kill the coil faster? Anybody that knows please reply with info.
thanks,
Little Brother

LOL in the first month I was down 500 bux. Wait and decide cuz with sales coming up all the time it's well worth waiting IMO. Especially with VV Pvs.

Thanks, folks.

I have to agree it is time to wait. I realized how much I have spend this in just 2 weeks.

Twist should be there when I get home so I can play with that.

Congrats!!! Mine hit the trash after the first day of having my vaporizer.

Thanks! I also hooked up a friend yesterday who has been trying to quit without much luck. He was going to place an order last night.

Congrats and welcome to the forum......I have to say, every time I see that a pack of smokes have hit the trash I get the biggest dam smile. Way to make my day :)

I agree, if your system is working at the moment stick with it. Soon enough something will come along and catch your eye. I spent close to $1500 the first 2 months, yes it's a ton of money which i am in debt over now, but it saved my life :) just look at all those smokes I didn't smoke.
