I sure wish I had tried vaping 10 years ago. I have been vaping a week and am very proud of the results as of yet. I am a heavy smoker, 2 + packs every single day for 20+ years. I've been feeling like crap for a while now and knew I needed to quit, but like most, lacked the willpower to do it. The more I thought about cutting back, the more I would smoke.

I ordered my Evod, and have been using it, my initial goal was to cut my analogs in half. Here we are, a week later and the most analogs I have used in a day has been 3, and the last couple of days has been 2. My evod makes it very easy, and I am sure I can go without any analogs, but I'm not ready to throw away my long time friends as of yet. I'll get there, but for now, I am extremely impressed with the results and have begun to recommend vaping to my other analog addicted friends.

Thanks to all here at ECF for sharing your knowledge, friendship and support. It really does take a team to kick that old nasty habit and there is no better team than ECF.

Awesome KC1BLE!! I went from a 3 or more PAD 40 year habit to none in four days from vaping. Just wait, the cigs will taste worse and worse as ya vape more. I loved the taste of a good strong smoke but that last day I smoked I lit just one that day and it tasted so nasty I smoked only half of it and havent had one in three months now.

Great job and don't rush it...I was a pack and a half a day smoker...when I started vaping I dropped to half a pack a day...did that for about 2 months and then one day after I got home from work (June 19 2013) I only had 1 cig left....decided screw it after I smoke that one, lets see how long I can go without...its now been 1 1/4 year or so since that last cig :)

You can do it!!!! :)

It seems, although I have no proof, that heavier smokers have an easier time quitting using ecigs. This comes experiences I've read about here and my own. 24 hours after the wife and I bought Evod starter sets, I quit a 2+ PAD addiction. Wife was at about 1 PAD and is still smoking but a "dual user."

My only reason for purchasing the starter set was to smoke less cigarettes and I've only had second hand smoke for over 13 months now with no desire to go back.

Hello and welcome KC1BLE. As you found out, ecf contains a wealth (overwhelming) of information, also is a great support group. Congratulations on your reduction in cigarette use.

I am still new to this so bear with me, does the nicotine level effect the throat hit or is that mostly from the PG?

KC1BLE, You are correct, PG usually is considered to have the larger throat hit and the higher nicotine level, the higher the throat hit. This is not a hard and fast rule, just generalities.
Also, I imagine you are still searching for a good juice, if so, you may want to try Nicoticket, here is the link to the sub forum on ecf: Nicoticket. WARNING, this group is a little fanatical :)

Good luck on your journey...73 W9HKO

Right, both are factors in TH.

PG tends to carry more of the flavor, VG more vapor. It can take a bit to find the ratios of those and the nic level that's what you like, as well as flavors themselves, of course.

If a local shop is available, it probably has the means to taste test a variety. Try some that seem "off the wall" to you - you might be pleasantly surprised :)
