My one week is almost up. My first week of having my newest little friend! I was just sitting here with my one of 9 dogs Lucky (a little 11lbs wire hair terror of sorts) thinking back of the week that just went by. I blow out my vapor and he starts to lick at it. He generally turns his head and does the paw to face wipe thing when I do the same with a cigarette. I guess I got a new vape buddy now. HA!
So what have I learned in my First Week of vaping? Lots. First, I now know what a soggy wet sock tastes like. I vape a helluva lot more than I smoked. I am the only one in about 50 miles that even know what a vaporizer is let alone why my cigarette burns blue.
I really got asked at once. I told them it was burning at a higher temp than theirs. Its the only way to smoke. Ha! I know I ruined a good spot to intro them to a VP but Im too much of a smart ....
Speaking of intros to VP. I already have 5 people that want to go in on my next order. So I'm off to a good start. Maybe I can open my own store with a lounge and sell good starter kits and teach people about vaping. I know here in the South its going to be hard to convert people due to the mass mentality of "I don't understand it so lets shoot it".

Ah, where was I? Oh yea, what I have learned. What I have learned about the Hardware. I like my 510. I'm glad I started out with it. I think this is going to be my rule to judge the others with. As to why I like it, easy, Its a simple device and it does what it promises. Lot of vapor. I wouldnt say it bellows or pours out but its still comparable with an "analog" (proud of me? I'm using vaper lingo) When I placed my order I went back and forth about the manual or the auto. I stuck with the man for one reason: Control. Sometimes I power drag on a smoke, so knowing that, the auto was no match for the likes of me.
I wish they sold other color led in the replacement batteries... Yeah offer it in the kits but dont sell them by themselves.. that makes sense... I've been tempted to do a mod on that but the one I had came up will have to wait till Christmas. A Red/Green LED that alternates whiles you vape. Thought it would look cool. Don't know how to pull it off as of yet. (If I didn't want anyone to take that idea and run with it I wouldnt have posted it

Ok I'll just start at the beginning. I ordered my 510kit from CigNot. This is not going to be a knock towards CigNot. I've been nothing but happy with them. The hand written thank you really made me feel good with my order. It wasnt just another thing I bought online. So mystery Thank you writer, Thank you for taking the time and personally thanking your customers. That act alone secured your store as a goto for me.
Alright with that out of the way I can get down to the meat and carrots of what I learned about juice. First off, juice in VP = good, Juice in mouth= Not good! Juice falling off table with dripper top and cap off and spilling juice on one of the dogs and then watch a different one lick it up and then running said dog to vet = NOT GOOD. (He didn't ingest enough to hurt the 11lbs loud mouth, but it was a good scare to say the less)
Now this is where my personal taste come in to play. First let me apologize for my Southern palette. It has never steered me wrong but in the world of juice... it seems lost. I didnt put this in any type of format due to the testing being more like Christmas morning than a true testing session for me.
The carts in the kit came prefilled with Marbl something. GROSS!!!!
After I finished a cart, I cleaned it in Everclear, then some 91% iso (largest % I can find). Let it dry while I tried another nasty bacco spice cart (I did the same cleaning method afterwards). After drying I tried the DewDrops. Citrus Spice is what I call it. Nothing like the Dew I keep at work or at home... 0-2... This isnt looking good as far as juice goes. I moved on to WaterMelon. I was hopeful on this on it was also the one I was going to judge the hardest (Sorry, I live in a state where every other county has a watermelon fest. Hell the county song WaterMelon Crawl was about a Fest that happens not an hour from the town of my birth). Well it sucked. What watermelon? I taste sock? 0-3! I was starting to loose faith... I tried the Tobacco Sampler I got... Out of the 3, #2 got delagated my after .... vape, the rest are still sitting there look at me... I will give them another shot this week to see if a little age on the bottle helps.
Enters VaporBomb. I have read rave reviews about VB. Since my last venture in juice left me 1-6, I figured another 5 would be a fair shake. I had no idea I was gonna get a Freebie. Lemon. I kinda pounded it for not tasting like a true lemon but to my panel of unknowing taste testers it scored the highest.
Since this was my first true juice order I played with the VG/PG ratio a bit. You can read all day about something but until experience sets in you truly don't know ..... What did I learn with my playing? I dont know ...... but thats awesome. Learning is what keeps us young I guess. All the little kids do it!

The first three sections should be understood, but adding first thought I find really helps me define the juice as a whole. I learned alot about juice by logging the first thing I thought of. I've never had one trigger a memory or something like (If I do, I'll write about it) but I'm sure that will come when I try more juices.
Virginia - 50/50 - 24mg - BOOM! Thats a Cigar! - First draw was like a slap of flavor to the tongue. Short lived (I would say less than .5 seconds) but it was there. After that the flavor died a slow death... Disappointment. Im gonna give this one another try.
RedBomb - 80/20 - 18mg - Cough Syrup?/Red Bull Cola-ish. - This one I wasn't happy about ordering it. It was one of those Ok now for something random. Dont get me wrong for a long time, Life was pulled by those red horns but this is... too much like flat/hot red bull for my liking. The way I serve my Bull is from the freezer (No its not the storage place too). About 15-20 mins in the upper deck of my ice box gets it right for me. I find that most bubbly drinks taste better when water content is closest to freezing. (Is there a chemist in the house that can tell me why?)
Out of all of them RedBomb lived up to my exceptions. It tasted like cough syrup which is what Red Bull Cola taste like to me.
Cant remember next one. Givin it a toot now and give you a review while I'm vapin it.
Milk Chocolate - 60/40 - 18mg - Chocolate Liquor. - Not a good kind either. Its mainly sock with hints of Chocolate... I wouldnt say Milk chocolate either... more along the lines of Coco.. But if your thinking of a town in Penn. WRONG.
Honey - 80/20 - 18mg - Whoa, Thats Honey. - First draw was like sticking my VP in a bee hive, pulling it out and letting it rip. I tasted the settle tones that most good honeys carry as well as the sweetness. I like it. I just dont know if I like enough to keep around. The level of sweetness is spot on, but the overall tone seems like it needs a little shaping. Maybe a different honey extract or a blend of a few, something. Like watermelon Im very subjective when it comes to my honey. I will do this one again.
(Noticed I dropped from 26mg to 18mg. I started out with all 26mg. Quickly learned I needed less.)
French Vanilla - 100% VG - 18mg - Thats some french something... - The vanilla just wasnt coming through. God I wish taste wasnt so subjective!! I get hints of it on the exhale but thats it. I cant quite put my finger on what it taste like but French Vanilla tis not.
When I cook with vanilla I prefer to use the real deal. Even in things that its used to round the flavors off with. Again Southern Palette cant help it.
Lemon - 60/40 -18mg - Mhmm Citrus. - Good Citrus not Citrus Spice. More like what Sunkist did with orange VB did with Lemon. Its sweet, no tartness at all Best way I can describe this is Lemon Zest drowning in powdered sugar. I went into this expecting lemon, I left with sweet lemon hinted vapor. I wanted LEMON. The sweet, tart, citrus goodness that is LEMON. I will give this one another go.
Note: While I was writing this one I dropped a couple on the atty just to refresh my thoughts and towards the end the Lemon taste really came out in way Lemon frosting kinda way. All most like a Lemon cake with a lemon/sugar glaze.

I love to vape the vapors. Even if the vapors are not up to my standards or down to my standards. I knew I wasnt going to get it right the first go around and I know juice is going to be tough number to figure out. (might start mixing my own when I get more of an idea) But I tried going in with no or little exceptions and I think it has served me well. From that first inhale to the last exhale I'm still surprised at the amount of vapor this little heating element puts out. Sometimes I do wish for more vapor but I just take another long drag and laugh. Then cough cause I tried to laugh with vapor in my lungs... This forum is awesome. Very nice people here. I've been all over the place here. Expect the womens forum... Strange things are afoot in there... that and I deal with enough crazies. Speaking of that, Wheres the guys forum? Sounds a bit sexist to me... Leave it to the bra burners to fight for their rights then snuff out everyone elses (Oh yes I did called down the thunder with that haha)
If anyone wants to send me juice to try I'll be more than happy to give you the long and short of it. If your cool with me being honest, I'm your Huckleberry.
Thank You ECF for all the info and guidance even though most of you didn't know you were giving it. Even those threads about fallin off the wagon, and other issues, have helped. There is a lot more going on. This is a strong community and I hope I can add to it. Again, Thank You.

p.s. forgot to clean my atty after the lemon. Slapped a full cart of mystery juice (I knew what it was when I put it in) and first drag... French Lemon Vanilla... Yummy
