hello Vers, i would like to take a moment and thank you all for your care and support. Last night went much better with the misses, no arguing (although she did say my vape habit was outta hand, i told her it was my hobby, she disagreed..)
She agreed to let me amend her taxes, I assured her that i would give her the monies from the EIC, which is Much greater than the return she would have received if we had left it. I am feeling relieved and hopeful. Thank you all for allowing me to work through my issues/torment in this space and in PMs, it really helped to organize my thoughts and emotions, which greatly assisted me in working through our issues calmly, directly, and responsibly.
Today, is a much better day.

chat - Good to hear that LD, sanity is a precious thing and easily taken for granted.

liblue1 gets a new card, about time! Good luck keeping your money safe this time.

I'm back from San Antonio, it's still there and just as lame as ever.

I barely slept at all last night, time for a nap. Good afternoon/evening folks.

I'm sorry to hear she thinks that!! Thankfully my boyfriend vapes as heavily as I do. I thought I would never stop smoking and I have to say that not even my mom complains (super religious) after I quit smoking two packs a day. I'm sure everyone that is in my life would prefer me to vape heavily rather than smoke heavily, if that's what it takes.(it's SOOOO much cheaper, too!!) I'm really glad that things worked out a little better and hope they continue to get even better! I also hope that little baby of yours is doing well too :)

I hope you wore pants to lunch, OR, convinced them to take their pants off so you all matched.
1

I need to stop reading ECF and put some pants on.

2

Finally put pants on. Good thing too, considering working in your skivies is frowned upon in this company.

3

I know they only do it for the tax break (sorry LD, I know taxes are a sore subject for you right now) but I LOVE when clients buy me lunch!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a food coma to go sleep off....
(not nice...) :)

^^^ Great to hear!

Curious: By "outta hand", does she mean too much money, too much use of the PV, or just everything swirled all together?

She articulated a few negative points:
waste of money,
bottles of poison in the house that has an infant,
taking up counter/drawer/cabinet space,
addicted to nicotine,
waste of time, stating i spend at least an hour+ a day playing with, reading about and researching vape related materials,
not productive,
takes time away from Levi,
this is just to name a few. I said these are subjective points, though some 'may' be accurate...

I don't want to argue with your wifey but I would like to address some of these..
1 it's wayyy cheaper than cigarettes, which was the alternative before.
2 I have an infant, but we make sure they all have safety lids and that they are ALL locked up EVERY time we use them. there is no way he could get to them.
3 o_O .... umm.. everything else takes up space too, even useless stuff like keepsakes that everyone has somewhere..
4 maybe addicted to nicotine, but minus the hundreds of other poisonous chemicals (formaldehyde, etc.) and has 0 radioactive substances (if not, a lot less..)
5 all hobbies take up some time and every person has the right to have some time to themselves doing what they feel like they want to do.
6 watching tv isn't productive, are you not allowed to do that? o_O
7 you can't be around your baby 24/7 or you WILL go insane. sometimes you just need some time away and I don't think there's anything wrong with that! plus, he's not awake ALL the time, right?

I REALLY hope you guys can talk this out!! I'm not exactly sure, but some of those points seem rather ridiculous :(

AND - Let's be real honest here - probably, if not definately valid points that are true . . . :)
Just Sayin' . . . ;)

However, Just as valid and very true - Tell her it could be much worse - "You" could always take up smoking cigarettes again . . . :(
Just Sayin' . . . ;)

BUT - Given her demeaner and attitude right now . . .
I don't think that would be too smart to do . . .

i agree with you! and i make this rationale with her, but it falls on deaf ears. i know why i choose to vape like whoa, and as long as it is safely and affordablly done, i have no end game :)

Ahhh, Door Number 3: Everything all swirled together. SOME of her points have validity.

Make an effort to scale it all back for a while.... Find a high shelf or cabinet, and put everything away, except bare necessities - maybe use just a twist/spinner and cartos for a while. The big mods and shiny tanks are kind of conspicuous - go for the "out of sight, out of mind" thing. Except for juice, don't buy anything new for a while. Surf ECF/vape sites after Levi is asleep for a while.

EDIT: I see that I'm taking the opposite tack as somejerk, who has great points, but it may be easier to make those points to Levi's mom, after she sees some changes based on her concerns.

Although I have had a few - I can only say to all of you that have relationships right now and have to deal with what you do, especially having to change who you are, what you like, and the habits you have to just get along with one and other today . . .

GEES - I AM SO GLAD I AM SINGLE AND LIVE ALONE . . . :D
