06/13 Entry #3 . . .

FIVE PM UNCLE??? ...?? And when I moved to this small town I thought 2:00 was bad.
Where I grew up the mailman came at like 10:00 AM.

Yep - And all the little old ladies and men are a huddle mass that usually arrive between 4-4:30 PM every day just waiting and hoping to see if the postal person puts something other then Weekly Advertisments/Monthly Bills in their mail box . . . VERY SAD SITUATION . . . AND - Just one of the reasons I usually do not go down to get "My" Mail once a week or when I am told/expecting "vape MAIL" until late at night when everyone has gone into their apartments . . . (BTW: I ever Tell Ya's how much I HATE having to Live Here . . . Just Sayin' . . . :( )

5. 6/13 - Moral quandary, which was once clear to me and now I find frustrating. I won a mod/APV in a contest a couple of months ago and I never use it. It's very pretty, very expensive, and very well built. It's also really big for what it is and not safe to take with me anywhere without removing the battery and/or atty. Sell it, keep it, or give it away? The pros and cons of my options are too much for me, so it sits in the back of my vape drawer where I don't have to think about it. Giving it away is the worst option for me, since it costs as much as the cheapest Provari and I'm not made out of money. It will probably last many, many years, whether I use it or not. Quality USA made stuff. I could send it back to the guy I won it from, he could use the money for selling it but that would be insulting.

Don't ask for it, I'll just ignore that. I've been paying it forward plenty lately. My question: what you would do in my situation?

IMO - I would suggest that "You" put it on the Classifieds for what it would normally cost for cash and/or trade for what you need/want (A lot of people who have won something they don't or won't use do this and the Vendors know that too - some may or may not PIF to someone) . . . Or - You could even ask for gift certificates to Vendors You buy from so you can get the "Stuff" you Need/want too . . . Just Sayin' . . .;)

Now - If it was "Me" with the same dilemma - It would depend on what it was that I "Won" . . . There are many items I have won that I have PIF, especially if I saw someone who really NEED IT . . . Or I might still hold onto the item -JUST in case I or someone I know may need it in an emergency . . . Now - If I Won that specific Item (BTW: I think I know which one "You're" talking about) I if felt I couldn't/Didn't want to use it - I would be putting it on the ECF Classifieds "Myself" and doing what I suggest "You" do . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Trade it for something close price range wise that your gonna use. Good quality mods don't lose value especially when being traded. Sell it and seriously keep the proceeds to be used for future Ecig supply purchases. What is it?
Why is it unsafe?

i agree, trade or sell.
you may want to do so on FB or another forum, as i am not sure the rules on selling contest wins in the classies. trade maybe.
either way, make the best use of it and help finance your vape habit :)

I could be wrong and if I am I am sure either "MrPicC" (Who I know has put thing up for Sale/Trade In the Classified Thread) or someone else can correct "ME" . . .

As I understand - Selling or Trades are permissable even if someone has won something as long as it is their's and not for more than what it cost - NO PROFITERING IS ALLOWED . . .

Classified :rules: : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-guidelines-updated-often-without-notice.html

Well in your situation I would be using it hehehe. But since you're not, I don't think there's any reason for it to sit there and I think you should sell it. Just because you won it doesn't mean you can only keep it or give it away. No reason you can't make some money off of it. :2c:
Or just look at it! I don't really care :p

chat- All good suggestions so far, thanks! I know the rules, and I would sell at a 20% discount off retail anyways. It's been used, but nobody would be able to tell since I kept it in pristine condition. There would be a disclaimer, slightly used with care, etc.

I would PIF, but I've already given away about $300 worth of vape gear and liquid in the past month. I think I'm in the clear, karma wise. And I'm not done giving things away either, just taking a break... I need some "me" time. ;)

4: Keep it and use it at home, then there is no worry about taking out the battery or the atty.

I don't know what is, but if it's real pretty and cool or special put it on display. Like on a nice stand and use it on special occasions. I have a beautiful watch and ring that I love more than anything I own, but I only wear them 1 or 2 times a year. It's nice to have something special, just for yourself. JMHO

I have a similar relationship with my pool cue. I used to shoot competively, about 14 tourneys a week and a couple times a year in Vegas. I saved the money from my tourneys so I could buy a unique cue that nobody else used. I will never part with it even though I don't shoot much anymore. If I go out I might play a game or two but I just use a bar cue. I don't play well enough to be seen with a $2000 cue, but everytime I walk by my case it will still bring a smile to my face and an extra heartbeat to my chest. And yes, every once in a while I'll go shoot with a friend and bring her out and show her off.

I think the best thing to do is make you "Happy", you did say you were taking "you" time. If it were mine I'd PIF it but only because I feel for "Me" that would be the right thing. However "You" are not "Me" and have not been the one receiving but the one giving. If you never intend to use it then sell it for a good deal, the person who buys it gets something and you can get whatever makes your "You" time more special! "YOU" deserve it!!

Its a free country, supposedly. Don't rush for an answer, The right way will make itself obvious when the time is right.
This is exactly the kind of advice I give myself on a regular basis. It keeps my blood pressure at a ridiculously safe level. At the pharmacy today I used one of the automated BP machines. I was in a big hurry getting to it, and had to use the restroom in a bad way (as in questionable food trailer lunch). 117/75... I need more bacon. :D

Little bit of a surreal moment there...

Watching Axe Giant on SciFi... I know my Dad (as many of you will recall passed away in late April) was part of the crew on the movie. In fact, that's why I am watching.

What I didn't know was that he was actually IN the movie. A brief 3 second cameo... but there he was, instantly recognizable, plain as day... my dead dad.

Must admit, I'm a little... shaken.
