3. 6/24 - Good morning. Coffee! My last coffee maker lasted almost 20 years, and I'm not the one that eventually broke it.
Chemex.jpeg

It makes the best coffee I have ever had in my life. It's not the best thing for the clumsy types, though.

Time for GTD. It should get very close to 100 degrees today, I better get started if I want to bet the heat.
Good luck with your day folks.

Funny you posted this I was just looking at this style. Some times simple is better. Had to brew it like this this morning by setting up a filter in my dead maker and pouring the hot water in manually. Wish I could taste or smell, but the cold I have prevented that. But it seemed to do a nice job!! Glad you posted that Schnarph...

#2 ... 6-24

Time to go pick Wifey up and bring her home!!!!!!!!!!! It's been a long couple weeks but now the work begins, with her being home my work load almost doubles, but it will be nice not making the 3 trips a day to visit her!

CONGRATULATIONS - Nice ! ! ! :D AND - I'm actually happy for Both of YOU ! ! !

NOW - As for the discussion of "Coffee Makers" . . .

IMO - The best are still the simpliest to use . . . ;)

Which includes the "Chemex" - However, a Real "French Press" (A Good One - Not just one that is expensive garbage) - or a small "Stove-top" Reverse Pressure Coffee Pot
Epoca-PES-3306__150x150.jpg
are good choices too . . .:)

AND - Thanks to technology - I have only one simple requirement anymore . . .

That it has a timer so that COFFEE is "Brewed" just before I usually wake-up . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Right now "My" Coffee Maker is a - "Cuisinart® Brew Central™ 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker" - that I got at "BB&B" on Sale and with the 20% Coupon - so it came to $29.99 :) which was well worth it at that price and so far so good . . .

Oh - AND as for the brand of COFFEE . . .
ResizeImage
is at the top of the list - then it's a tie between "Chock full o’Nuts" & "Eight O'clock" . . .

Just Sayin' . . . ;)

I can't find any more interesting cooking shows :/ Cupcake girls are kinda boring :/ I keep searching :p

Okay - What Service or Program are "You" using to watch these shows . . . and is it via your Computer or TV ? ? ?

EDIT: Either way if "You" can get to see "Two Fat Ladies"
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_Fat_Ladies) it is a GREAT Cooking Show from England's BBC . . . You will just be - WELL . . .

CHAT -

I have Netflix and Amazon Prime :/ Not much here for cooking shows

No - There isn't . . .:(

But then agan - I watch the cooking shows over an HDTV attenna on PBS's "Create" Channel Or "Living Well Network" now . . .:D

Well - I know that "Two Fat Ladies" can be seen on the "Cooking Channel" if Ya' also get cable . . . Two Fat Ladies : Cooking Channel

However, I just found this too - "You" might want to check it out since it shows that "You" can watch their show "On-line" for FREE and through Amazon's "Instant Video" . . .

4. 6/24 - After all these years and so much to choose from, I still prefer Julia Child's cooking shows. Paula Dean was at the bottom of my list from the beginning, regardless of her recent fiasco. Alton Brown is very informative, but a few of his methods are completely wrong and his politics are very offensive to me although that never comes up on his show. I can't handle the reality type shows like BBQ Pit Masters anything with Gordon Ramsay. If the various cake shows were condensed down to 2 minutes of viewing the cake I might be able to watch them. I miss the days of A&E having art and entertainment, and TLC having educational shows. I'm hypercritical of TV programming and reality shows just aren't my thing, I guess. Remember when MTV was only music videos? I'm not that old, am I?

Edit: I forgot about Two Fat Ladies, excellent show and very funny!

GOOD LUCK RAY!

AH - NO . . . No Older then I am probably . . .;)

As for the choices on TV today, I wouldn't get into that so much with Ya', as to let "You" know "Julia", including her first Cooking Show on PBS (which watching today is quite hesterical at times for a number of reasons) is back up and being viewed on the over the air PBS HDTV "Create" Channel . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)
