Well, I got the Evod with the idea that I could get into rebuilding it at a future time, after I killed the extra heads. I do have an M5 RDA from FT, but I haven't really bonded with it and I don't consider dripping to be a standard usage for me. I mainly got it for testing juices. I like the convenience of clearos. Will probably end up getting a VVV tank at some point, but am considering the Mini Protank 2 or Davide Mini, too. At this point, I actually prefer the performance of CE4s, but I like the fact that the evod is more durable and uses less juice. I'm thinking carto-tank may be my best-fit solution, but am leery of dealing with cartos and o-rings.

The VVV tanks are an ADV machine! It's perfect for your primary juice. The basic poly-pros are very inexpensive, hella-durable and easy to refill. With 50/50 juice you'll want to punch your own cartos as the blazer punched holes are too small for thick juice.
Let's see...
7.99. Polypro
6.99 5-pack of cartos
6.49 carto punch
3.99 Ray's carto tool (Google "slap-yo-mama tool")
25.50 + shipping gets you set up then it's just replacement cartos after that!

A week after I placed this ^^^^^^ order, or ordered 2 more pcks of cartos and two more poly-pros!!!

Scary, that's exactly what I was looking at for a first order. I prefer to use the disposable $25 VISA cards, though, so I was planning on not getting the punch tool.

Update on the Evod/PT head: I tried another head from the pack and got the same result. Dumped the tank of juice (Hate that...I'm so stingy), exposed the coil, cleaned the flavor wicks under hot water, rinsed the coil assembly under hot water, then dried. Pulsed it 5 seconds with 5 second blowing/cool-down. After about 8 cycles of pulsing/cooling, the coil FINALLY glowed red evenly within 1-2 seconds and the burnt smell dissipated. Final rinse and re-assemble, 0.5ml of unflavored 50/50, a couple of dry-pulls with two holes covered to prime the wicks, and then activated --FINALLY! Just plain, unflavored vapor with no "industrial peanut" flavor. I've taken about 20 hits so far with no funky flavor, so I'm thinking these heads might have had some oil/coating/nasty stuff from the factory. I only run my battery at 3.6V and only take 2-3 second pulls so it never really got red hot and burned off. I'll keep working it tomorrow (carry my CE4 just in case) and see how it goes. Gotta stop right now...feels like I'm getting a nic headache.

Now I think I need to get some Hangsen RY4 flavoring to replenish my stock...

This sounds like a plan for me, thanks for the heads up

Seems a bout of depression has washed over me. Not sure if the trigger is my woes with my AGA-T's or the kids going back to school today, a combination of the two, or something completely different. All I know for sure is I am angsty and anxious and ragey and sad all rolled into one.

Manopause?

I need to pull out my Smiths cds... and some ice cream.

#3 for 08/21

Right there with you but no kids to send off to school. Just feeling sorry for myself and all my aches/pains that make it hard to do anything but sit on my, well, you know what I sit on. Laid down for a bit (load not ready AGAIN and now I am waiting til a.m. in my truck) and just felt sorry for myself.

Then I woke up, ate a triple chocolate "drumstick" ice cream cone and I do feel better. I guess I was about a quart low on chocolate. Should keep up with those levels, but I haven't found the dip stick for chocolate yet.

I have seen them posted in some of the threads and I found that through a google search. I always thought slots would flood my cartos so I haven't looked for any. One person said they use jewelers files to slot their cartos.

I have a question. What the heck is the "condom method" of filling? I can picture all sorts of things but none of them seem to relate to filling a carto.

The slots look huge compared to the rather large holes I punch cartos with, and my holes work fine for 100%VG e-liquid. I'm trying to figure out how these slots would work without flooding. I think they are too new to have enough reviews to draw any conclusions.

Edit: I have found them in 35mm but I'm not recommending anything, I'm just trying to figure out what's going on here. It looks like a flood/leak waiting to happen.

"RAY" actually has the Pre-Punched Laser Cut Boges:

Which I got during the last sale and although I haven't used any of them yet, I can see there are 2 small "pin" type holes across from each other on the carto . . . :D

AND - As for the "Condom Method" of filling cartos - there are a number of very good You Tube Videos that show you how . . . There are also a couple of "Informational" post on a number of threads here too . . . Just Sayin' . . .;)

The laser cut hole cartos have been around a while now, these slot cuts are new. The slots are an entire centimeter long.

@jac: It does look like a membrane, but how can that let 100% PG or 100% VG through at the same rate? My common sense can't grasp this factor. I will wait for reviews...
