2. 8/26 - I can't imagine a more complicated way to get off cigarettes than messing with mechanical mods and rebuildables. My grandfather went to a "seminar" and had a staple stuck through his earlobe... remember that placebo? Good thing I enjoy all this technical fiddling, placebos don't work on me (AFAIK).

This is my first time entering a contest here... I just got access to the "elite" part of the board a couple days ago... I didn't realize there were so many forums and subforums available. It's going to take me months to figure out what I am supposed to do LOL.

I hope I did this right with teh number thing. I put a 1 as in the first time I posted in this thread. Is that correct?

Yep... good start. Welcome to the nut-house!:D
5 numbered posts/day... say something of substance. Doesn't have to be deep or even useful. ;-)
No double posting entries... other thn that... have fun, vape-on...

awesome :) thanks for the tips... and saying something of substance might be difficult for me... usually I start speaking in tongues after 10 minutes in a thread

You'll want to number that post #2, you can go back and edit it. No need to put the date like I do, I'm not even sure why I do that! Your allowed 5 numbered posts per day for the contest, anymore than 5 should not be numbered as they don't count towards the contest. Hope this helps.

2. 8/25 - I would really like to attend a vape meet. They always set them up over an hour away from me, that's a big investment. I see plenty of Austinites on ECF, but with the severe shortage of local vendors the vape meets are few and very far between. The DFW area gets most of the Texas vaping action. You Tuscon folks are lucky.

#1 Lets get one in before midnight here. We're not lucky, so much as invested. We got some very dedicated folks really putting in a lot of time and effort to make it happen. We are fortunate to have quite a few vape shops, but that has been a fairly recent development. When I started vaping last May, there was only one shop in the Tucson area, and it was technically not in Tucson, but in a suburb called Marana. A pretty far drive for me at the time, but I did it, usually once a week, to get juice and sometimes hardware. Now that particular shop has expanded and have three stores all around town, and one in another state as well. In the last few months a lot of shops have started popping up, some better than others. Its catching on very fast here. Some of the smoke shops are even carrying ego kits and juices now. But the vapemeets are the brainchild and baby of the Tucson Vapers group on FB. I feel honored to be among such a great group of people who really go the extra mile, and speend hours and hours of their free time to make the meets happen. Its been a pretty amazing experience, and I hope we keep it going.

1) Good evening night owls! Here's a review of three Clever Vape e-liquids. Abandon Mint was only okay for me, but I enjoyed Nostalgia and Brooklyn Pop. Nostalgia is a black honey tobacco that almost reminded me of a Heather's Heavenly Vape e-liquid. The downside is that it gunks up coils crazy fast. Brooklyn Pop is a nice black cherry cola with an addictive spicy kick. Full review and steeping notes here.

#1 As its a new day, I am starting over again. I see you down there lurking, jpf. Or maybe you just left the tab open when you went to bed. Hello to you, if you are there. :) Hope your wife is feeling better.

I guess I missed all the battery and RBA talk. A subject I am just starting to get educated on. Thanks for the tips on getting cheap wire. Those will come in handy soon. I really need to buy a big spool of kanthal (or two) in the near future.

Speaking of rebuilding stuff... I want to take a shot at rebuilding the Kanger Protank atty's... I see a lot of people use different things for wicking. I am fairly satisfied with the performance of the stock attys I just want to rebuild to save money. What material is best to use for the wicking? 2mm silica? 3mm? or Eckowool, and what size eckowool? I don't have much of a desire to get into super low ohm or anything crazy... i'm happy with around 2 ohms.

It's Insane what people over the years, decades and centuries have done to "cure" themselves or other people. A staple through the ear? damn man.
