Since I'm digging for substance, has anybody here tried the X10 batteries from FT? I'm wondering if the three colors indicates a 3-stage battery, or just an indicator to let you know when the battery is going down. I wouldn't mind having another 3-stage ego batt, but don't want to buy a $15 kit from MFS to get it.

More Evod head issues. Even after completely disassembling and cleaning, then dry-burning, I still got that "stale peanut picked up from the floor of an industrial plant" taste. I thought it was gone, but it slowly came back during the day. I soaked the head for an hour in hydrogen peroxide (It disinfects/cleans wounds, so why not?) and then soaked overnight in water. Rinsed and dried and now seems to be okay. Been trying to work it hard with multiple puffs to get the heat up and still don't have the odd taste, so maybe I found a solution to funky heads. I'll give it a day or two with unflavored and see how it goes.

4: Zipslack, some flavors will be fine with a coil and the amount of energy applied where others will not taste right with the same configuration. If the flavor is off for some try to lower the volts or watts applied and see if it helps. That is if you have a vv/vw device.

My kids arent old enough for chores yet so i dunno but something tells me that when they are im gonna be more stressed out trying to get them to do them they i would be if i did them myself lol.

Thanks for the input, Tiggerrts. It's the same juice I've been using. I went to clean the original coil because it started tasting a little burnt, but when I went to pull the center stem, the bottom came off along with the coil and ended up damaging it. I have a 5-pack of PT heads that I got along with the tank, but both of the heads I've tried have had a funky taste. I've been going rounds with different cleaning options trying to narrow down what's going on and how to get rid of it. I thought I had it previously, but the flavor crept back after a while of usage. Chain-vaping (higher temp) seems to make it happen or accelerate the prominence of the flavor. I've gotten my ego to go to shutdown (10 sec) so far without the odd taste, so maybe I've got it licked.
