I put a slot in for my EA, plan to make a few slotted holes, for similar, in the large, kitchen vape-organizer.
Found the flocking kit online to finish the interior...

Suddenly thinking: is there enough market for these? I can make a few jigs, for good precision work, if I had a market...
Decent drill-press... a few end-mills instead of forstner bits... ;-)
$500 investment and I could be ready to go...

I think there is a very large market. Have you looked online for the cost of mod/vape holders? I have. I have been drooling over a few of them. Some folks line them with felt. I think you can leave them unlined and just sand/finish them with stain and whatever protective coat you use. I know you probably don't want them rough because no one wants to scratch their vapegear, but I see a lot that are unlined.

It reminds me of a mishap at a Chinese food restaurant. A customer became very upset after seeing the symbol, not knowing anything of its ancient history. Some folks aren't aware that the Nazis stole an ancient symbol that once meant nothing but good things. Party poopers!

in my experience, a coil generally rips better once it's been broken in.
But the initial coil should still produce a large cloud of vapor before use.
