number? (it would be PIF anyways)
OK... smok-kick is a PITA...
The dial is very inaccurate. Been playing around for an hour to get the out-put right.

I need a loaded volt-meter with a 510 connector!
I've tried a voltmeter (tank-o-meter) on a few VV/VW devices, in general they don't work because of the PWM. I don't know about the smok Kick, but I would guess it's very similar to the Sigelei Stomp (Kick clone). IMO, none of the clones can match the Kick 2, but even it won't allow a voltmeter to read it's output.

I think there may be some confusion on my part, but how exactly do Ray's tanks work? I'm going to assume that what they call a "grommet" is actually a non-threaded end cap that uses an o-ring...is that correct? If so, you really don't need a tank tool, do you?

No... You don't need a tank tool. A thinner bodied drip-tip works. I do find it convenient, but not a must-have.
You might cause some damage to the grommet when inserting the carto if you don't use a tank tool or refilling drip tip. Most folks would recommend using one of the above when inserting a new carto into a solid tank cap since the o-rings can get damaged rather easily. I've ruined a few o-rings myself back when I started using cartotanks. A little bit of PG, VG, or e-liquid should lube it enough to pass through smoothly, but getting a refill drip tip or tank tool is a good idea... you only need one as long as you don't lose it.

Edit: The grommets are going to be harder to damage than o-rings in the metal or delrin caps, but they are really tight in comparison. I don't use the grommet caps but I've seen the tank pulling test that PBusardo did and they hold on really well.

Got this picture from someone on my ship... they did a little post processing on the photo in photoshop when they were done, but this is a picture of my ship from the bow looking aft. Thought a few of you might be interested!

In radio, going to sexual harassment training is like going to a comedy club.

Simply hilarious jokes fly the entire time.

We don't really attract the type of folk who are easily offended by such things. Or ANYTHING for that matter.

#1 Sexually harassing conversation is practically a prerequisite for employment in the restaurant industry. In my opinion, people need to quit taking themselves so seriously. Don't get me wrong, there is a line, but people are so uptight sometimes.

Read thru the whole thread, im all caught up now. and VERY few posts today! what gives?
1 (it is after midnight here.)

New avatar, for one day only! Taking it down tomorrow. Gaze upon it's glory while you can.

Think this is the first time I've used an actual picture of me as my avatar on ECF.

No bumps please. I'm going to bed.
Liar liar pants on fire (are you wearing pants?) its still up!
And this whole time i actually thought you were a cartoon character animated for our enjoyment and voiced perhaps by John H. Benjamin. (thats who i'd want to voice me)
1) Big, big, big shout-out to "Uncle" for hooking me up with one of my favorite interviews at ECC 2013. I think the interview turned out well, but most importantly, I met a really cool and fun person in the vaping business. AND, it's all thanks to "Uncle"!!!
awesome how that works! from the other side of the continent !!
I still haven't tried cotton yet. I have a bunch of it ready to use, but after half a tank the silica wicks in my new RTA (Hercules) taste just fine. As long as it gets refilled with fruit flavors I may not need to re-coil it for weeks. I have no intention of using cotton in an RDA, so it my be a while before I find out how great it is for a wicking material.
I hadn't thought of that, i could see the benefit to using it in a tank set up more than an rda setup. prob safer to use in tank since (in theory) it is constantly saturated. The rda goes drier much faster.
i havent gotten to michaels yet, wednesday i most likely the day ill go as i am off at 5 w/t/f and 9 today and tmw.
I also looked at the difference in organic vs undyed and couldnt find any convincing information other than the sugar and cream being recommended more frequently by tank users

Uncle... I thought we pinky swore we'd never publicly speak of that night again?
whoa whoa whoa.
now that the cats out of' the bag, i can sincerely convey my jealousy for not being invited to this shindig.

I also found it to be annoying to find the right wattage since there are no markings. Boardo gave me some good advice for it. It goes to 10w right? He advised me to turn the dial completely on one direction, than adjust the other way 1/4 of a turn essentially putting me around 7.5 watts. small adjustment to bring it somewhere around 8-8.5w. thats how i set mine, and havent touched it since. comparing it in the k100 on a 2.8ohm carto to the same on a vamo at the same wattage i got the nearly the same result; this leads me to believe i set it are the desired wattage. so yes, kinda a PITA :)
1) The ECC 2013 madness continues with Dr. Mike's Mad Vapors. This is a company that was started by a father and son after the son had a heart attack due to cigarette smoking. Their backgrounds are in aeronautics, with the son working for the father for years. Now the father, retired from aeronautics, works for the son. It's like Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader...but with e-liquids...and these guys are much nicer. Okay, it's nothing like that at all. Anyway, check out the video to learn about the company's history and its unique juices. These guys have combined chocolate and bacon, as well as cucumber and honeydew, for some really unique stuff.

I think i would really like a cucumber honeydew. not sure about the choco bacon, although i do like both of those tings separately. (never vaped bacon) but i sure would give it a try!

what a long day my wife might be getting a promotion but the higher ups are jerks and shes pretty much being told with out being told that she needs to do her makeup better, get a better haircut and lose a few pounds. never mind shes the best store manager in her district and that shes got regional managers coming into take pix of her store so they can train other stores how to do things properly and shes the only SM in her district who has gotten more than one award for her work.
thats dumb as hell. i am mad for her, and for you. thats b s, wish there was a way to fight that kind of bias.

#2 LD, if you are interested and you are planning to go to the vapemeet on Thursday, I could bring you a few feet of sugar and cream cotton yarn, pre-boiled, to experiment with. I have a ton, which I bought a bit ago. It's approximately a lifetime supply, and I'd be happy to break some off for you.

That would be fantastic thank you!
I also have Hoochie juice for youse!!

Heres something kinda lame.
I posted last week that my cat knocked my vamo and tank off the counter and i was getting reduced vapor. i followed boardos instruction and lifted the pin ever so slightly and that helped.
heres the issue. the threads/510 connection, have loosened considerably. i can stick a boge and have it almost touch the pin with out screwing it in. when i screw it i can only make a 1/4 turn rotation before its in. it takes very little pressure for a tank to just pop right off. the fall must have expanded the size of the connection. i have the tank pop off in my pocket.

is this a good enough reason to order another vamo? is there an easy solution? can something be affixed inside the 510 to tighten this up? will prince william ever see any actual combat?

If the pin has been pushed down you can pry it up gently a little. So maybe since it is out too far you can gently push it back down?

#3 If the threading has been stretched/expanded, I don't know of any easy fix. The 510 connector is no removable, so I think you're out of luck. Sounds like an excuse to get a new mod to me. ;)

thats what i was afraid of. id actually like another vamo, but it seems like an opportunity to try something new. id have to wait another paycheck, this one is for rent, but maybe the mvp2?
