Weird 510 Cartomizer taste?

I just received my first pack of 510 cartomizers and I have to say...the taste is kind of putting me off. I ordered blanks which i filled with both of my usual camel and winston flavors. Both are being overpowered with a strong bran/rice dry cereal taste and smell. I've tried letting them sit for a while and that didn't work. Does anybody have any tips on how to get rid of this taste?

Regular attys have a primer in them when shipped, and it tastes like CRAP...I assume the cartos must have the same primer in them....smoke on them for a few hours in spite of the taste and it should dissappear.

Some of those that come in blister packs or some other kind of non-breathing packaging do have a nasty, medicinally smell (like freshly opened bottle of vitamins). The only hope is to unwrap them, take off the protective silicone caps and let them air out. It may take awhile.

They are not primed like atties and shouldn't smell or taste bad.

Yeah, vitamins. Never thought of that but it does also smell like a bottle of vitamins. lol. I've had carto's that have been soaking in liquid and aired out but they still taste and smell nasty.
