I've heard that people who've been smoking for forty and fifty plus years can experience very deleterious effects from going cold turkey.

Specifically, I know someone's parents who ended up stopping tobacco abruptly, from one day to the next, and ended up going into something akin to toxic shock syndrome, but in reverse. They were bed-ridden for weeks, the mom for months actually, on respirators, and all that.

I'm not worried about this for myself I've not been smoking anywhere near that long, but I do know from just stopping (or from switching back to Canadian cigarettes after a few weeks of smoking Americans, which have more tar) that you wake up hacking and hawking every morning for a couple weeks.

But has anyone heard of that "reverse toxic shock" effect on long-time smokers quitting cold? I'm sure there's a word for it...

I had flu-like symptoms and intestinal distress for five or six days when I quit analogs. The worst of it was at the beginning, while I was tapering down hard.

Any idea what the nicotine strength is on your Mistic kit? Possibly it's too high, on top of the other issues.

Good luck with your health, and keep us posted when your new kit gets here.

The mistic stuff said 1.8% nicotine..
My breathing is already doing better with my medicine, as long as i hit the inhaler. I started coughin up some stuff. So i think i'll be good to go in a week or so.
I got my kr808d kit in today. vaping doesnt seem to have any ill effects on my breathing, Im very glad.I also got a bottom feed clearomizer because i thought it looked cool, and im a having a slight filling issue with it, I may as well mention it here instead of a new thread.
First i noticed that when I filled it, some juice came out the end that connects to the battery. After i vape it for a couple of minutes, it looks like there is a bit of juice in the mouthpiece area. Is this normal? Maybe I didnt fill it properly?
The Vanilla tobacco flavor is mighty tasty by the way! Mine is 24mg nicotine. I highly recommend it.

I am 22. I started smokin at 19. I'd say I averaged half a pack a day for 2 years. Then tried to quit, but in reality just cut down to one or two a day. Until I started the e cig.

I dont think I vaped the carto too far, this last refill pack I got have started tasting bad really quick. And I switched them as soon as they started tasting terrible. See... thats why I feel like it could be the cartos... This all started after I got this refill pack.
But, like Hoosier said, it could be any number of things.

I would not worry too much about smoking two cigarettes a day.

I agree. But i failed to mention this part: I also started smoking hookah after i tried to quit smoking. I have an arabic roommate and he gave me his old hookah after he got a new one. So i began sittin in the living room puffing away at that thing for 2 hours at a time. What drew me to that was all the different flavors available. Which led me to the transition to E-cigs:vapor:
